SPRINGFIELD, VA -- Here are my picks for the First Team All-DMV Top-250.

[player_tooltip player_id='1414533' first='Patrick' last='Curtin'] | Glenelg Country (MD) '25

One thing I like to see when players warm up is a routine. Curtin started out with some form-shooting, a clear sign that he knew what he was doing. When games started, he brought high intensity on both ends of the floor. Curtin scored at will and was very aggressive on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579098' first='Josiah' last='Legree'] | Loyola Blakefield (MD) '24

Was there a better athlete in the gym than Legree? My money is on Josiah. This kid is dynamite.

[player_tooltip player_id='1588139' first='Connor' last='Lyons'] | St. Anne's Belfield (VA) '26

Lyons did what I've seen him do repeatedly: make shots. What impressed me this time around was his assertiveness. Lyons has evidently been working on his ball skills. He is comfortable handling the ball under pressure, keeping his head up without picking up his head, and making a proper read.

[player_tooltip player_id='1618939' first='Dakota' last='Sellers'] | Grace Christian (VA) '24

While Sellers was certainly in the conversation for best athletes in attendance, his shooting was high level also. The dynamic 6'4" wing is a relentless scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2148786' first='Evin' last='Thompson'] | Sherwood (MD) '25

Thompson was probably my favorite all-around player at the event. The skilled 6'0" guard is wired to rebound and this makes him dangerous as a grab-and-go threat. One thing I liked about Thompson was his defensive posture.
