Today, we will be starting with our top five point guards in the Class of 2026. Our latest rankings for the sophomore class have been updated on our website.
The 6-2 sophomore guard is a natural floor leader and is looking to take his game to a new level. Joseph transferred to West Oaks Academy from Chaminade-Madonna in the summer, where he is coming off a freshman season where he averaged 17.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game for the Lions last season. Joseph has explosive athleticism and can score off the dribble and is quick on his drives to the basket. Joseph holds offers from Florida State, Mississippi State, UCF and USC.
The 6-4 sophomore guard will be playing this upcoming season at IMG Academy. Quinones is a flat-out shooter who can score on all three levels and plays with high energy on the defensive end. On the defensive end, Quinones plays with a good amount of length and is extremely quick when it comes to guarding out on the perimeter. He has a knack for guarding in the paint as he uses his size to battle on the boards, as well as block shots.
The 6-0 sophomore guard is quick and flashy when he has the basketball in his hands where he can score at the front of the rim with his strength. He averaged 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and nearly two steals per game last season for Mainland as a freshman. Kirk has a knack for guarding mismatches as he is a pest on the defensive end and is very active in the passing lanes where he can get out in transition. Kirk currently holds an offer from Jacksonville University, but we can expect that list to grow over the next three seasons.
The 6-1 sophomore guard plays with an aggressive mindset when he has the basketball in his hands. Sandi plays with a high IQ when it comes to decision-making and gets to the free throw line frequently. He is also considered to be an underrated passer for his size and can knock down perimeter shots with space. On the defensive side, Sandi excels at forcing turnovers and is very active in the passing lanes.
The 6-4 sophomore guard is coming off a stellar season where he averaged 10.3 points per game as a freshman last season. Cummings is an elite shooter who can score on all three levels whether it’s off the catch or off the bounce. His handles are super strong and has a high IQ displaying great confidence in his all-around game. On the defensive end, He also has the ability to crash the glass and grabbing rebounds with bigger players using his athleticism. Last week, Cummings received his first offer from Kent State and won’t be his last offer either.
