<p>As the 2023-2024 High School Basketball season is just a few months away and Fall Leagues taking place beginning in just a few weeks. Prep Hoops Florida is taking a deeper dive at the way too early Top 25 teams in the state of Florida, regardless of classification. Next up, We will be headlining the next five teams on our list who are ranked six through ten. A lot of new faces are in new places as well this upcoming season.</p>

<p><strong>#6 Mater Lakes Academy</strong></p>

<p>The Mater Lakes Academy Bears are coming off their best season in school history, finishing with a 28-3 record and claiming the school's first ever state championship. The Bears are led by Head Coach Dylan Estock who is entering his fourth year with the program. The Bears return their top two leading scorers from last season in 6-5 senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1055719' first='Christian' last='Reid'] and 6-1 junior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1301710' first='Anthony' last='Knowles']. They did lose 6-2 sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2134650' first='Jayden' last='Joseph'] who transferred to West Oaks Academy earlier in the summer, but they did gain a backcourt with a ton of experience in 6-1 senior combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1055700' first='Braylon' last='Burbridge'] who transferred in from Miami Palmetto. </p>

<p><strong>#7 Winter Haven</strong></p>

<p>The Winter Haven Blue Devils are coming off a 2022-2023 season where they finished as the Class 7A runner-up, coming up just short of knocking off nationally-ranked Columbus. The Blue Devils are destined for the goal to come out as State Champions which would be the school's first in school history. The Blue Devils look to replace 6-9 power forward Dylan James who graduated last season and is now playing at the University of Georgia, as well as 6-1 combo guard Kjei Parker who is at Florida A&M. However, The Blue Devils did add some key transfers this summer landing 6-6 junior wing Zay Mosley to pair up with a dynamic front-court that features 6-5 senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1055762' first='Jamie' last='Phillips'] and 6-6 senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1055750' first='Isaac' last='Celiscar']. The Blue Devils are considered to be one of the top favorites in a heavy loaded Class 7A that features Columbus, Oak Ridge and Miami Palmetto. </p>

<p><strong>#8 Sagemont</strong></p>

<p>The Sagemont Lions are coming off a 2022-2023 season where they won the Class 2A Championship over previous 3-time defending state champion Orlando Christian Prep. The Lions graduated their entire Starting 5 that includes their leading scorer Tynan Becker who averaged 14.3 points per game. Sagemont will turn into 6-3 senior combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2197811' first='Devontae' last='Jean'] who will look to handle the primary point guard duties this season. The Lions also retain 6-9 senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1859278' first='Kenneth' last='Lopez'] who holds an offer from Southern Miss. Another name to keep an eye on for the Lions this upcoming season will be 6-5 junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1879504' first='Patrick' last='Liburd'] who transferred from University School this summer.</p>

<p><strong>#9 Westminster Academy</strong></p>

<p>The Westminster Academy Lions have a youthful load of incoming stars on their roster this season, led by 6-4 junior combo guard Alex Lloyd, 6-6 junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1301736' first='Dwayne' last='Wimbley'] and and 6-7 sophomore wing Alex Constanza. The Lions finished 21-8 last season and reached the regional final before being eliminated by eventual Class 3A State Champion Riviera Prep. Another name to keep an eye on for the Lions this upcoming season will be 6-6 wing [player_tooltip player_id='1578298' first='Jeremiah' last='Police'] who can impact the game in a variety of ways whether it's on the offensive or defensive end of the floor. Westminster Academy is expected to be a favorite to make a run at the Class 3A title along with Clearwater Calvary Christian, Berkeley Prep, Gateway Charter, Riviera Prep and Windermere Prep.</p>

<p><strong>#10 Providence</strong></p>

<p>The Providence Stallions reached the Class 3A Semifinals last season before losing to runner-up Windermere Prep. The Stallions will compete despite losing their primary playmaker in 6-7 forward [player_tooltip player_id='1055748' first='Jaylen' last='Robinson'] who transferred to DME Academy earlier this summer. Providence retains 6-0 senior combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1859295' first='Brady' last='Patterson'], 6-6 senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1052381' first='Chris' last='Arias'] and 6-6 senior forward BJ Boykin. The Stallions will also have 6-0 senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1163413' first='Caleb' last='McAbee'] in their backcourt who is one of the state's most prolific perimeter shooters. </p>
