He often runs the point guard position but is unafraid when it comes to playing off the ball at times as he has a soft touch when it comes to scoring around the rim as well as from beyond the arc. Phillips is also an above-average rebounder where he can get out on the break and runs the floor well.

This kid is the definition of BIG GUARD U. Stetson University has a gem coming their way as Phillips is a true threat on the hardwood because of his frame, IQ, and overall skill set. Victory attempted to double him on the wing throughout the night but he handled the game plan with ease. He found teammates, worked the baseline, and scored in transition. He also brings the ball up a lot to initiate the offense. High upside for Phillips who will contribute early at the next level.

Phillips is the engine that initiates the offense where he can be the primary point guard as well as play off the ball at an extremely high level. On the defensive side, he can guard positions 1 through 5 on the floor as he showcases great speed and athleticism where he covers a ton of ground.

Phillips excels in the rebounding department because of his size and adds a decent defending component as well.
