Deon Johnson Deon Johnson 6’3″ | PG Walnut Ridge | 2027 State OH was one of the top players in the showcase. He has it all. He has some really good size for a wing. Listed at 6’3 and long wing that is ultra skilled. He was getting to his spots all day and was shooting over players all day because of his length and high elevation on his shots. He has a great handle on the ball and is incredibly shifty. He had defenders on skates all day long. He is simply just a hooper. He gets buckets in anyway he wants. He can get all the way to the rim and finish with both hands and also through contact. He has an incredible midrange pull up game. He can also knock down shots from beyond the arch off the dribble or catch and shoot at an incredibly high percentage. He has a great confidence to his game as well because he made it look really easy all day.
Jeffery Reynolds
Jeffery Reynolds
Reynolds is a really nice prospect that I think has a very high ceiling. He has all the tools. He is a tall wing that is 6’5 and moves great. Athletic kid that showcased good leaping ability, long fast strides, and long wingspan. These qualities made him a presence in the paint as one of the taller players at the event. He was a monster on the boards and was blocking or altering a ton of shots when the ball was brought in the paint. He had some really good energy. He was constantly talking to his teammates and the other team while having as good time at the event.
Lewis was the biggest player at the event as he is listed as a true 6’8. Lewis is a very raw prospect as he has a very good base and has a ton of room to develop over the next four years. I believe that he will get even taller in the upcoming years. He moves very coordinated and had some good cardio because he was always moving and running the court but never seemed to get tired. He had some really good touch around the rim. I wish I would’ve seen him get the ball a little more than he did but I am a big believer in his game.
Demetrius Jenkins
Demetrius Jenkins
Jenkins is an explosive athlete out of Lutheran East. He was incredibly quick wing that got the rim often because of his ball handling ability and quick first step. Not many were staying infront of him. He is a really good slasher and is a show that is fun to watch when he is in transition. He had some powerful dunks. He also is a really good finisher with both hands.
