Whether it’s a motor, IQ, or high-level athleticism, it gives you a chance to contribute. Today we’ll focus on the shooter, who may have what it takes to contribute to varsity basketball as freshmen.
Marcos Alberich
The 6’3 combo guard will receive minutes at the varsity level because of his shooting from day 1. Alberich was hands down the best shooter in the gym on Sunday. Whether it was off the dribble, catch, or contested, he was making shots. Alberich excels at shooting off movement and has a textbook jumper.
Marcus Nestor Marcus Nestor 5'11" | PG Port Charlotte | 2027 FL
The 5’11 guard showed touch when scoring the ball. He knocked down open shots beyond the arc and used floaters to score over bigger defenders. Nestor is an interesting long-term prospect with good scoring tools.
Jayden Navarette
Navarette was one of the best shooters in the gym, knocking down several shots beyond the arc in each game. He has a quick release and shoots over defenders when he has a sliver of space. The Columbus freshman is a consistent catch and shoot prospect, whether it’s off the catch, movement, or dribble.
Jaydan Silvera Jaydan Silvera 6'6" | PF Boyd Anderson | 2027 FL
The 6’3 guard showed a consistent catch and shoot stroke. His combination of early size and shooting could make him a varsity contributor from day 1.
Oneal Delancy Oneal Delancy 6'3" | CG Gibbs | 2027 State FL
Delancy is an elite shot maker on all three levels. What makes him a top shooting prospect in Florida’s freshman class is his shooting off the dribble. His form doesn’t change, he connects on shots whether he was going left or right, and creates space with quick movements. When he gets hot beyond the line, the ball is going through the hole.
