Mason is a throwback point guard who sets the table like a blackjack dealer for whatever team he plays on. One of the top passers in the 2025 class, Mason brings toughness, unselfishness and leadership to any team. Limited as a scorer, if Mason can become more reliable as a perimeter shooter when he’s left open, it could allow his passing talent to shine even more. A guard college coaches will fall in love with watching, I expect a ton of small schools to prioritize Mason starting next spring.
A guard who had a strong summer with New Albany, Jackson is a prospect who could really emerge in central Ohio this winter. With his size and passing ability, Jackson is able to play on or off the ball from the guard position. After a special mention all-conference season as a Sophomore, I expect Jackson to contend for a first team spot as a Junior. A crafty finisher at the rim, Jackson should see his PPG skyrocket in an increased role.
The first of two Ohio United guards on this article, Hodges is an impressive athlete who threw down some impressive dunks this summer that certainly caught my eye. Explosive when he gets a head of steam in transition, Hodges can jump out the gym. With his athleticism, Hodges also gets after it defensively from the point of attack. Biggest development that Hodges can make is improving as a ball handler to allow him to grow into being a point guard. He’s already shown flashes of breaking the defense down, if he can do that more consistently he will raise his stock this winter.
Highlights
Another Ohio United guard, Foster was a standout at multiple prep hoops circuit events. Foster is a high academic prospect and already being targeted by some of those programs. The lefty guard has good size and can score it in a variety of ways as a shooter from the outside or slashing to the paint. I think the biggest growth Foster showed this summer was on the defensive end, continuing to play physically on that end will be crucial for Foster after he was already a productive guard for Dublin Scioto as a Sophomore.
