Geno Ward is a five-foot-five-inch guard from Holy Family. Ward didn’t let his short stature bother him to get shots up, scoring 15 points in this contest. Ward shot the ball very well from deep making a few 3’s but showed a knack for shooting inside at the rim too. One lay-up he shifted to the left side of the rim to keep the defender away and another used his body well to separate to avoid being blocked.
Shay Jackson Shay Jackson 5'8" | PG Totino Grace | 2027 MN is a five-foot-eight-inch guard from Totino-Grace. Jackson’s main skill is speed and quickness. Jackson made opportunities for himself and teammates a number of times driving around defenders. Jackson showed ability to make shots from the outside and at the rim with some crafty lay-ups. Jackson scored 12 points in this match-up.
Preston Crider is a six-foot-four-inch forward from White Bear Lake. Crider crashed the offensive boards well to get himself some easy put backs. In other contests Crider displays the ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter which could make a stretch-four candidate as he grows. In screen and roll action he gets into space well to make himself available.
Carter Pulrang Carter Pulrang 6'0" | SG Eden Prairie | 2027 MN is a six-foot-guard from Eden Prairie. Pulrang showed ability to score in iso situations and his jump shot was very smooth. When rebounding head up, ready to find teammates in the open floor, and does a solid job on weak side defense.
Rylan Happel is a five-foot-four-inch guard from Mounds View. Happel showed ability to make outside shots that enabled him to stretch the defense and when rebounding he immediately was pushing the ball up to take advantage of early opportunities.
Anton Williams is a six-foot-three-inch guard from Cretin Derham Hall. Because of his size, Williams has a deceptive handle. Opened the game with a crossover step-back, then threw a length of the court assist, and then hit another step-back jumper. Williams could be a solid secondary ball handler as he ages as he has his head up ready to pass. For the game Williams scored 9 points and recorded 3 assists.
Calvin Spencer is a five-foot-ten-inch guard from Spring Lake Park. Spencer snuck out a ball reverse steal, and really took advantage of times with the basketball. Good outside shooter, got out on breaks without the ball quickly, and showed his ability to get easy baskets of cuts and drives.
Joe Courneya Joe Courneya 5'11" | PG Win-E-Mac | 2027 MN is a five-foot-eleven-inch guard from Win-e-Mac. If you ever see Justin Corneya play, Joe is almost a splitting image. Courneya never deterred, great aggressive ability to score the ball. Good range from outside with a smooth jumper and is a good prober with the ball of his defender to get himself looks.
