The month of August usually revolved around an influx of news from the rising junior and senior class prospect getting their visits situated for the end of the month, September or October. I already released an article catching up with our No. 1 prospect in the 2025 class, [player_tooltip player_id='1371867' first='Cameron' last='Ward'], about the official visits that were recently announced and potential visits that are in the works. Let's take a look at some others in our top 10 who are eyeing visits for the future.

Jackson has emerged as one of the top guards in a loaded 2025 class even on a national level. The 6-foot-2 combo guard has a visit in the works with LSU for sometime in early October. There have been a handful of prospects from the Baltimore Metro area who have gone on to attend LSU for football or basketball including current freshman guard Mike Williams. Other programs in contention for visits with Jackson include Alabama, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Syracuse and Villanova.

[player_tooltip player_id='1370500' first='Jalen' last='Rougier-Roane'] | Sidwell Friends

Rougier-Roane missed a big chunk of the spring dealing with a knee injury suffered late in the high school season, but has since used the summer stage to prove his ability to bounce back from such adversity. Due to many colleges taking their preseason overseas tours, Rougier-Roane's month of August will be dedicated solely to his body and training. However, he told Prep Hoops that he is shooting for visits with Xavier and Virginia Tech to take place sometime in September.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225257' first='Acaden' last='Lewis'] | Sidwell Friends

Another rising junior who will play a big role for a Sidwell Friends team who ended last season as the No. 1 team in the DMV is Lewis. The 6-foot-2 southpaw lead guard is as crafty as they come and spent this spring/summer proving himself on the EYBL Circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='2078457' first='Team' last='Durant']. Lewis has taken recent visits to Georgetown and Maryland while visits with Florida State, Oregon and potentially Virginia are in the works for September or October.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371863' first='Omarr' last='Smith'] | City

Smith's rise over the calendar year has been impressive. I was fortunate enough to see Smith early on and it wasn't difficult to see the potential that the 6-foot-3 lefty sniper has. Since last season his growth and athleticism have been key in his overall development into a legitimate Division I prospect. Smith recently took an unofficial visit to College of Charleston. Three programs that he'll be looking to line visits up with for the next two months include: Florida Atlantic, Mississippi State and Penn State.
