MVP: Josiah Lee Josiah Lee 6'2" | SG Glacier Peak | 2025 State WA (2025) – Glacier Peak HS
Jo is the only player who made the first team last year returning to the league. I personally think he is the early favorite to win the MVP for a lot of reasons. Glacier Peak is losing some guys who graduated, so Lee will be relied on to create for himself and his teammates. He proved he had the capability to carry a team on his back last season. He’s got great speed and is shifty with the ball in his hands. He knocks down shots at a high percentage as well.
Other potential MVP candidates: Ryan McFerran Ryan McFerran 6'6" | SF Jackson | 2024 State WA c/o 2024 – Jackson HS
First Team Predictions:
Josiah Lee Josiah Lee 6'2" | SG Glacier Peak | 2025 State WA (2025) – Glacier Peak HS – see above
Ryan McFerran Ryan McFerran 6'6" | SF Jackson | 2024 State WA (2024) – Jackson HS – Jackson is losing their top player in Sylas Williams, but will have Ryan and others returning making them a competitive team once again. Ryan stands at 6’6″ and can stretch the floor very nicely, hitting threes at a high rate. He does his best work from the wing but it will be interesting to see how he does with the ball in his hands more. He will be relied on to have the ball in his hands more, so we will see how he will adjust to that.
Elijah Pierre (2024) – Kamiak HS – With Kamiak losing most of their key role players, Elijah is going to be one of the main options for the squad. When I watched him over the summer, he showcased a lot of growth on the court. He plays patient, never rushing anything and staying clam when being pressured. He does a great job running the court, being able to push it quickly down the court with a pass or by taking it himself. He is going to showcase a big growth in his game next year.
Isaiah Cuellar Isaiah Cuellar 6'0" | SG Glacier Peak | 2024 State WA (2024) – Glacier Peak HS – Isaiah is making the change to Glacier Peak after attending Mariner last year. With Glacier Peak losing the majority of their top players, Cuellar is going to step into a big role right away. He is quick on the court and can finish in transition through traffic effectively. He has fantastic vision and passing abilities, being able to locate his teammates last second for an easy bucket. Keep an eye on this senior.
Seamus Williams Seamus Williams 6'0" | PG Jackson | 2026 State WA (2026) – Jackson HS – This one could be a surprise for people, but I think he will have a great season. Seamus is the younger brother of former Jackson standout, Sylas. Seamus got a little bit of playing time last year for the team but will step into a bigger role with the 2023 class graduating. Williams is a dynamic guard who pushes and controls the pace well. He always has his eyes up when he has the ball in his hands. One thing he always brings to the court is energy. He will give it his all by diving for lose balls and doing all the little things that not every player does.
