The Hortonville guard Ethan Joling Ethan Joling 6'6" | PG Hortonville | 2026 State WI is one of the top ranked prospects in the Class of 2026. Over the summer, he competed across the Midwest in the Hard Work Region on the Prep Hoops Circuit with “All Wisconsin”. He showed his versatility and leadership on the floor against top level talent week after week. In addition, Ethan has attended competitive “invite only” camps this summer such as The University of Wisconsin, The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Western Illinois. He has also recieved his first division 1 offer from Bryant University.
Standing at 6’5”, Ethan is formidable from the lead guard through the wing positions. He provides a calming presence with his court vision and ability to create for himself. He has a great understanding of when to attack and when to facilitate for others that allows him to score in bunches or allows the offense to flow seamlessly through him. He’s shown some extremely impressive glimpses of facilitating that will translate well to FVA.
The best thing about Ethan’s game right now? He has not yet reached his full potential and he’s given us a taste of how deep his bag could be. With the experience of playing in a very tough conference behind solid guards in the Class of 2023 this past season I believe things will fall in place for him to have a breakout season.
I was able to catch up with Ethan to get to know his grind a bit better. Here’s what he had to say.
