We’ve got guys from every class listed here, and each guy should have a sizeable impact on their high school team come winter. These are all names that are trending up and really bring some physicality to the frontcourt spots.
Shane Skidmore Shane Skidmore 6'8" | PF University | 2024 State WA University ’24
Skidmore took a big step forward last season and he looks to have built on that success this summer, looking quicker with the ball, more confident and decisive attacking the hoop, and even a little bouncy on some big dunks. Last season, he looked like he focused on improving the touch and footwork down low, and now that he’s feeling good with those developments he’s starting to get more fluid and aggressive with his touches which is allowing his athleticism to really show.
Jack Sievers Jack Sievers 6'5" | PF Archbishop Murphy | 2026 State WA Archbishop Murphy ’26
This guy already showed last season how effective he can be swallowing up rebounds, but he’s gotten even stronger and has those big, broad shoulders that make him tough to get around inside. He holds his position well, has good instincts to the ball, and as a promising football recruit, brings a different level of physicality for a kid his age. He does a lot of little things off the ball that make a big impact; setting hard screens, floating around the paint to find space for passes off drives, and gaining extra possessions for his team throughout the game.
Michael Masini Michael Masini 6'8" | SF Gig Harbor | 2026 State WA Gig Harbor ’26
Masini is a big, skilled forward who plays a really poised game. He stands out immediately for his size and skill combo near the rim, but he’s also a great passing big who can stay calm under pressure and find the right pass even in the face of double teams. He can operate from the high post, block to block, and shows great vision from the short corner. He’ll be a big factor at Gig Harbor this coming season who can also deter drives with his defensive presence at the rim.
Murphy Vliem Murphy Vliem 6'5" | SF Cedarcrest | 2025 State WA Cedarcrest ’25
Vliem is a big, strong kid who can play in and around the paint or step out and help on the wings. He’s a 6-foot-5 combo forward who gets a lot of his production from playing strong and aggressive, working to impact the game on the glass and find open lanes for cuts near the hoop. He’s also shown some capability behind the arc to help stretch the floor, but with his size, power, and athleticism, he’s really best at throwing his weight around and making plays in the paint.
Taylor Mwale Taylor Mwale 6'4" | SF Bellevue | 2025 State WA Kennedy ’25
Mwale has been a great find this summer. He’s a kid that works tirelessly to get involved in all aspects of the game, has good size, nice touch from mid-range and in, and has the strength and motor to be an impactful presence on the boards. He can put it on the floor and does a lot of damage from the mid-range and high post, either working to the hoop or dropping in jumpers over defenders. He’s also a solid defender who has the reach to bother shots and bring some versatility on the defensive end.
Achilles Reyna Eastside Catholic ’27
One of the hotter names this summer, Reyna has caught a lot of eyes for his work in the AAU season and shown he’ll be a big contributor at Eastside Catholic in the winter. He has great hands, tipping rebounds out, blocking shots and tipping passes, and showing some soft touch around the paint. He’s another guy that has a great work rate and already plays with good physicality on both ends, especially on the offensive end as a kid who eats up a lot of space with his dribble and always seems to find room to make a play off the ball.
