Kiyan transferred during the season to LUHI. But this coming season with a full year look for him to pop onto one of the top ten all state teams. A smooth quick release. Can shoot it off the catch or the bounce. Deep range. Smooth handle gets him into the lane and he finishes off the bounce. A willing passer and playmaker.
We spotlighted his brother in our 26 class. Kayden should find himself also on an all state team. Fearless tough confident guard. Attacks the rim off the bounce. Athletic finisher. Can shoot it really well from outside. Outstanding defender moves really well laterally.
High level skill set. Very smooth with the ball. Great basketball body. Makes it very hard to defend him because he is equally effective at creating space to get off his jumper or can blow by you and explode to the rim.
Highlights
I’m putting Vere in this report even though he received an honorable mention last year. Which I still don’t understand with 18 all state teams selected he was not on one of them. One of the best point guards in the toughest league in the state plus he plays on a winning program. He is an extremely talented guard not flashy but able to score from all three levels , handle the ball vs pressure, rebounds and guards on or off the ball with great instincts. Crafty scorer around the rim. Great court vision and awareness. Fundamentally sound winner.
Dominic will be coming off of a leg injury but should be ready to go by seasons start. A flat out scorer of the ball. Outstanding range from beyond the arc. Excellent rebounder from the guard position. With some graduations from last seasons team Dominic will be looked upon as one of the leaders.
