Another big-time scorer who has transferred, Readus put up nearly 19 points a game at Davenport Central last season and is now at North Scott, where he’ll provide the Lancers with a dynamic three-level scorer who can create his own looks at a high level. His shooting numbers as a junior (39-28-81 splits) weren’t great, but he had to take a lot of tough shots for the Blue Devils, and looked much more efficient as a scorer during the summer with the Iowa Barnstormers.
5.) 2024 Redek Born Redek Born 6'3" | PG Norwalk | 2024 State IA (Norwalk) – 18.6
A recent Northern Iowa commit, following in older brother’s footsteps, Redek is a highly skilled and efficient three-level scorer with a great feel and understanding of the game. Winkel had some explosive scoring games last season for the Jaguars and followed it up with a really good summer with a highly successful Kingdom Hoops EYCL team. He’s a versatile scoring guard with a great mid-range game and the ability to get to the rim routinely with his handles and quickness. In addition to his scoring, he also dished out 4.9 assists a game. If he’s able to improve his 3-point stroke a bit, he could average well over 20 points as a senior.
8.) 2024 Jordan Dewaele Jordan Dewaele 6'6" | PF Council Bluffs Jefferson | 2024 State IA (Council Bluffs Jefferson) – 16.5
The Yellow Jackets won just three games last season, but the 6-6 Dewaele was a standout, leading the team in scoring, rebounding and blocks. He’s a fluid athlete who can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim, as well as occasionally step out and stretch the floor.
