Check Rock League Preview…Part II

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This coming weekend the Check Rock League, one of the Delaware Valley's most competitive summer runs, tips off its eighth season. This summer the Check Rock League games will once again be played at the 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This invitation only league features elite 2024 through 2027 prospects from the tristate area. Below is Part II in our preview of the 2023 Check Rock League rosters. Obviously, there will be a focus on players from southeastern Pennsylvania who are participating this summer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>B'ay Ray's</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two of this summer's biggest stock rising prospects in SEPA– [player_tooltip player_id='1460800' first='Jordan' last='Ellerbee'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1865291' first='Isaiah' last='Marshall'] will headline this group. Those two will team with highly touted New Jersey prospect Emmanuel Samuel as well as a slew of talented prospects from Delaware to form a formidable roster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>3 &amp; D Sports Performance</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>3&amp;D is heavy with talented Delaware prospects, but representing SEPA will be [player_tooltip player_id='1123910' first='Khaafiq' last='Myers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1188624' first='Kasey' last='Fleming']. Myers (12 ppg., 41.7% from three at the Peach Jam) is an ultraquick guard who can score at all three levels. Fleming is a 3-point sniper. But if a defender bites on one of his pump fakes, he will put the ball on the deck and get to the cup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Cut it Wright</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This roster features the dynamic backcourt tandem of Thomas Vaughn (Phelps School) and [player_tooltip player_id='1188627' first='Milan' last='Dean']. Vaughn is an amazing athlete who can drain threes and play above the rim. Last year Vaughn dropped a 39-spot on Wilmington Christian (DE). Dean posted an incredible July circuit. Then last week he was named an all-star selection at the HG Invite Only Elite Camp. West Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='1990915' first='Tariq' last='Jennings'] will be an outstanding scoring option on the wing for this team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Mitch's Mo Better Chicken</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We don't know how Mitch's chicken tastes, but his Check Rock League roster is fantastic. The guard duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1187903' first='Kyree' last='Womack'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1888851' first='Kobe' last='Bazemore'] are going to tear opponents to shreds with their elusive dribbles. Both can smoothly execute drive and kick plays. Which is great because on the wing for Mitch's squad is three-point ace Luke Brown from Salesianum (DE). As a bonus, this roster contains a top 2025 prospect in 6'6” wing [player_tooltip player_id='2047528' first='Kodi' last='Johnson'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Locker Sole Shop</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Locker Shoppe will be an extremely entertaining team to watch. High flying scoring machine [player_tooltip player_id='1483181' first='Josh' last='Reed'], combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1580505' first='Anthony' last='Hobbs'] and West Philly's [player_tooltip player_id='1466558' first='Brandon' last='Williams'] headline what is sure to be an up-tempo attack.
