Starting off the Rising Junior list is #15 Evan Enos Evan Enos 6’8″ | PF Byrnes | 2025 State SC . Evan is one of the top shooters in the state and has great length to go with it. Although his shooting is his most desirable attribute to College Coaches, he has the skill to do much more on the Offensive End. Enos has been on fire since making the move to Team Charlotte in the Spring and will be a very important player for Byrnes High School, which will have one of the better squads in 5A this season.
Highlights
Next up on the list is Ridge View’s Treyvon Smith. It feels like every other story I write features a Ridge View Blazer, but that’s just how stacked this team is. Smith will have a feature role in that frontcourt. He has great skill as a Faceup Four but is also a really good rebounder on both ends of the floor. Treyvon also has tantalizing physical attributes, so I am interested to see how he continues to develop going into a very important Junior Season.
The 3rd featured player in this list came in at #27 in the most recent Prep Hoops SC 2025 Ranking, Gaffney’s Kaleb Phillips Kaleb Phillips 6’3″ | SG Gaffney | 2025 State SC . Kaleb had a terrific Sophomore Season for the Indians and is widely recognized as one of the best perimeter shooters in the Upstate. Phillips was Gaffney’s leading scorer last season at 9.9 Points Per Game, shooting 41% from the field, 38% from behind the arc, and 70% (on 10 Total Attempts) from the Free-Throw Line.
Next up is Ramani Bruton Ramani Bruton 6’0″ | PG Greenville | 2025 State SC . While Bruton’s efforts are currently focused on the football season with Greenville High School, his talents on the hardwood should still be recognized. There are qualities from his football game that reflect into his basketball game such as toughness, strength, and vision. Ramani is a polished guard on both ends of the floor that loves to make plays. He is effective at getting paint touches and can finish around taller defenders or kick to open teammates.
The 5th player in our list of the top Rising Juniors without an offer is Benett Edwards Benett Edwards 6’2″ | SG Landrum | 2025 State SC . I got to see Edwards play frequently this Summer, whether it was during the Grassroots Season playing up with Next Level Elite 2024 or during the Scholastic Period with Landrum High School, but he never disappointed. Benett is a good all-around player, but what stands out is his desire to stay involved in the offense without the ball in his hands. He is a very good cutter and is a great shooter off the catch.
Closing out our list is Fountain Inn’s Amaziah Austin Amaziah Austin 6’5″ | PF Fountain Inn | 2025 State SC , who is ranked at #61 in Prep Hoops SC 2025 Ranking. Austin is a physical beast in Class AAA and a nightmare for most teams to gameplan for. He makes his presence felt on both ends of the floor scoring in the paint, protecting the rim, and owning the glass due to his size and athleticism. Amaziah also had a very good Grassroots Season with 1SC Elite, who was one of the more successful Independent Teams in the State.
