Korie had a very busy summer, splitting Grassroots Periods with Georgia Stars E15 and Carolina Rebels 2026 and playing for Ridge View High School during the Scholastic Period. Corbett really seemed to take the next step in July. He had an extremely impressive Peach Jam, averaging 10.0 PPG and 9.2 RPG across 6 Games helping lead Georgia Stars to E15 Semifinal. Later that month, in the E.P.I.C. Hoops Summer Slam, Korie was one of the most impressive players regardless of class, while running with Carolina Rebels. There’s no doubt about the talent and physical tools Corbett has, but it will be interesting how soon he is ready to carry the full load for a stacked Ridge View team this season.
Barnes is another young star who had a stellar Summer. Since watching him in the Chesnee Roundball Classic last December, Lance has become one of my favorite players to watch in the State. He is a composed Guard who always makes the right play. This Summer, during the Scholastic Period playing with Catawba Ridge High School, Lance was on top of his game. He was a standout at the Sizzlin’ Summer Shootout and the SCBCA Live Team Camp. Barnes also was very good during the EYBL Season with Team United E15. With his Grassroots Team his role was to be more of a scorer than a facilitator, averaging 7.4 Points Per Game and 1.2 Assists Per Game shooting an even 50% from the field.

apart from some of the other prospects this summer was his development. During some of the Early Summer Grassroots Tournaments, Caden’s talent was on display but he seemed to blend in with some of the other pieces. But as the Season went along Caden’s Role increased and so did his production. The peak of his Summer came in Rock Hill during the 3SSB Championships, where he was one of the better players in the entire 15U Age Group. He was decisive with the ball in his hands and was efficient in scoring from inside and out.
Highlights
Although he started the Grassroots Season with EA Prep Stars, Amare’s Summer really started to take off after making the move to Team Charlotte UAA 2025. Amare had a big role from the start with Jeff McInnis’s Squad and ended the season playing up with the 17U Group. He is a crafty Guard with a high motor and a beautiful pull-up game. Anderson was also a standout during the Scholastic Period playing with Greer High School, being a top performer at both the Wofford Team Camp and the Sizzlin’ Summer Shootout.

rounds out a Guard-Heavy Part 4 of my SC Summer Standouts. Musa played for Team SC and Greer Middle College during the Summer, and was a standout for both teams in multiple tournaments. In particular, Muriithi helped carry the load for a banged-up GMC Squad during the Sizzlin’ Summer Shootout. And he ended up being one of the better players in the tournament despite getting little to no rest or sets without the ball in his hands. Musa is extremely smooth with the ball in his hands, and his capable of making plays off-the-dribble for both himself and his teammates.
