Musa, who recently announced his commitment to Spartanburg Methodist College, had another solid performance for the Greer Middle College Blazers against AAAA Laurens on Saturday at the Prep Hoops SC Showcase. After a slow shooting start in the first quarter, he seemed to find his rhythm at the start of the second quarter. He is a very good perimeter shooter and overall scorer, but his passing was also fun to watch. He put in a very impressive 18-point 10-assist double-double in Saturday’s opener.

Musa just brings steadiness to the floor every time he plays the game. He’s constantly under control while on the floor while playing with a good demeanor at all times. Musa made some heady plays today here while hooking up with teammates for easy looks. He never looks to force shots and passes. Musa is a total team player while bringing a strong academic profile to the classroom to boot.

Musa is a smooth operator from out top with the ball in his hands. He plays well on and off the ball as a combo guard at times. He runs the offense very well for the Blazers and always seems to be under control with his efforts on the floor. Musa will tuhe corner and race by defenders off ball screens and set up his mates with good reads.
Muriithi carries over a 5.0 GPA in the classroom. He has had a great spring and summer with Team SC on the Grassroots Circuit. Musa really plays with the team concept and at times plays almost to unselfish with his game.

rounds out a Guard-Heavy Part 4 of my SC Summer Standouts. Musa played for Team SC and Greer Middle College during the Summer, and was a standout for both teams in multiple tournaments. In particular, Muriithi helped carry the load for a banged-up GMC Squad during the Sizzlin’ Summer Shootout. And he ended up being one of the better players in the tournament despite getting little to no rest or sets without the ball in his hands. Musa is extremely smooth with the ball in his hands, and his capable of making plays off-the-dribble for both himself and his teammates.

Musa is a slender-sleek guard who really does a nice job of playing out on top controlling the game. He really does a nice job of touching the paint and getting his teammates involved in the game. Muriithi has been a consistent player time after time for the Blazers in the Upstate. Musa recently turned in a 40-point game vs Chesnee. The Blazers look to cruising onto the playoffs next week.

Muriithi and the Blazers will look to be right on the Cardinals feet this coming season. Musa plays every possession hard and in a competitive mindset.
