Watford tops Part 3 after continuing to improve and cement himself as one of the best players in the State. He was one of the biggest names for College Coaches to monitor at the SCBCA Live Team Camp, and backed it up with his play against some of the best teams in the state. Jordan’s ability to see the floor and keep an offense balanced was key to Upward Stars 3SSB SE’s success at the Adidas Nationals in Rock Hill in July, where they went 4-2. In addition to that, Watford finished 3rd in Assists in 3SSB 16U Play at 5.0 Per Game.

Tristan is another member of the Upward Stars 3SSB SE 16U Squad that had a very good summer. He is a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. Also, Thompson has the physical tools such as size, length, and athleticism that are desired at the next level. Tristan will play a key role for Wilson High School this season, who is among the schools near the top of a packed AAAA. Thompson’s recruitment has continued its surge from the summer, receiving offers from the College of Charleston and Texas A&M in the month of August to go along with Jacksonville and South Carolina State.

Franklin made the move from Legacy Early College to Wren High School at the start of the Summer, and instantly made Wren the favorite to go back-to-back in AAA. He was one of the best players at the SCBCA Live Team Camp and put up dominant performances throughout the Scholastic Period in June. During the EYBL Season, playing with The Skill Factory E16, Abijah had a solid overall season. He averaged 5.4 Points Per Game in just 9.6 Minutes Per Game shooting 43 % from the Field, 35% from Behind the Arc, and 78 % from the Free Throw Line.

Assemian is another former Legacy Lion who made a move to an In-State AAA Team this Summer. Hayden was outstanding during the Scholastic Period, in particular at the Sizzlin’ Summer Shootout where he had a 31 Point 14 Rebound 6 Block outing in the Silver Bracket Championship Game. He also had a really good summer running with Team CP3, who had one of the better E16 EYBL Seasons. Hayden was a standout in several Phenom Hoops Events, but in the EYBL Regular Season averaged 7.5 Points Per Game, 5.0 Rebounds Per Game, and 1.2 Blocks Per Game, including a 24 Point 10 Rebound Double-Double where he shot 11-12 from the field against NW Rotary in Memphis.

DJ coincidentally makes this list as a 3rd Player from Class AAA Region 2. He had a very good summer playing for Upward Stars Upstate 16U and Fountain Inn High School. While he might not have the prestige among the state as some of the other players in this edition of my SC Summer Standouts, Martin performed as well as any Guard over the past 3 Months. He is a True Point Guard who gets paint touches at will, and is capable of finishing around bigger bodies, knocking down jump shots off the dribble, or finding a teammate for an open shot.
