He was a starter and key contributor on a team that lost in the CIF State Finals in Division IV. He’s a good all around prospect who takes care of the ball. He’s a handler with good drives into the paint from different angles, he passes and dishes on the drive, plays off two feet, and finishes strong. Off ball he spots up well for corner 3’s.
Highlights
We saw Kamara this spring, the 6’4 prospect seemed to be working on his perimeter game. He was handling the ball in transition and on the perimeter looking to shoot jumpers and drive it into the paint. He’s active in the post, working for rebounds and going after blocks. He gives good effort defending his position.
A good size guard, with an improving skill set. His handles are good, he’s a willing passer. He’s a solid body prospect who looks a bit off balance on the drive but does gather himself in time to get the bucket. He has the size to score in the paint through contact, he can hit the paint jumper. He has the size to be a rebounding guard.
He plays with a good amount of consistency. He handles, passes, and move well on the court. He’s a good court runner from end to end both ways. He has good foot speed and gives good effort on the defensive side of the ball. He’s a legitimate shot maker from behind the 3pt line, and has an off the dribble pull-up. He plays with intensity.
He’s had his ups and downs this spring and summer, that’s expected with this age group, nevertheless he’s a solid ball player who contributes on the court. He’s a good handling guard who’ll make the extra pass, he’ll run the court and finish strong in transition. He can hit the short jumper, defend hard and help rebound.
He’s 6’7 has a solid body and good strength, he’s still learning how to use his body and size in the post area. With that being said he can be active in the paint going after rebounds, and defending. He’s capable of putting points on the board in the post. He can work from the high post using one dribble drives to the rim. He’ll be a contributor.
Right now he’s a 6’4 shooting guard with a long body, and looks like he’ll still growing. He’s a good ball handling guard with vision and passing, that helps bring balance to a prospect with range who can knock down 3ptrs at a good percentage. He has a good upside to his game, we’ll keep an eye on him.
