THE FAVORITE – Oshkosh North
The Spartans were the trendy pick last season, but fell short of expectations. North does return arguably the best duo in the state in senior wing Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI and junior forward Xzavion Mitchell Xzavion Mitchell 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2025 State #119 Nation WI . If this group can develop some depth, particularly in the backcourt, a trip to Madison isn’t out of the question.
DARK HORSE – Kaukauna
The Ghosts have a lot of talent coming, including some key sleepers. Behind senior guard Carson Awe Carson Awe 5'11" | SG Kaukauna | 2024 State WI (14.3 ppg), senior forward Jonathan O’Neill Jonathan O’Neill 6'9" | PF Kaukauna | 2024 State WI (12.8 ppg), senior guard Finnley Doriot (12.5 ppg), and junior guard Keegan Van Kauwenberg Keegan Van Kauwenberg 6'3" | CG Kaukauna | 2025 State WI (10.1 ppg), Kaukauna has the deepest lineup and most experienced lineup in the league.
MOST IMPROVED TEAM – Appleton North
The Lightning were very young last season. They still are, but a couple of key freshmen got great experience and should be ready to roll in year two. North finished eighth in the league in 2022-23, but now reload behind sophomores Grant Hardy Grant Hardy 6'3" | PG Appleton North | 2026 State WI (12.0 ppg) and Nathan Ramus Nathan Ramus 6'2" | PG Appleton North | 2026 State WI (11.4 ppg). The Lightning also ended last season by winning four of their last five games and seven of nine overall.

Highlights
MOST IMPROVED – Andrew Jensen Andrew Jensen 6'9" | C Kaukauna | 2026 State WI
It was tough to find a spot for him on the All-Conference lists, but Jensen could very well be more than just an Honorable Mention candidate this season. A high upside center prospect with some scary length and athleticism, Jensen showed some big time flashes over the summer and has No. 1 overall potential in the class of 2026. As a freshman, he gave the Ghosts four points, four rebounds, and one block per game.
SLEEPER TO WATCH – Bryce Ott Bryce Ott 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2026 State WI
Oshkosh North is desperately looking for depth to compliment their 1-2 punch in the frontcourt. Ott could be a big x-factor for the Spartans this season. A promising sophomore forward, Ott posted 4.3 ppg in year one with the program.
