We were able to spend a good amount of time at each of them and in this piece we take a closer look at the best big men we saw in the Las Vegas Big Time event.
Derelle Desire, 2024, Salt Lake Rebels
Desire has been one of the biggest stock risers on the west coast and his performance at LV Big Time only opened up more opportunities for him at the next level. The wiry 6-foot-10 forward/center has elite rim protecting instincts, is a mobile rim-runner in transition and has the basketball IQ, vision and passing ability to trigger some offense from the top of the key.
DeWayne Brown II, 2025, Florida Rebels
Brown showed a true back to the basket skill-set and willingness to battle for deep post position each and every possession. The 6-foot-9 center is strong, physical and unafraid of contact in the lane. He thrives off of that contact to create advantages with angles and spacing to get high percentage looks at the basket. Brown isn’t the most explosive vertical athlete but his old-school approach makes him an effective interior scoring threat.
Graham Eikenberry, 2024, Jalen Green Elite
What stood out most about Eikenberry was his loud, clear and concise communication on the defensive end. The 6-foot-11 center calls out screens early, communicates the type of coverage he’s expecting and can defend in multiple different types of coverages. Eikenberry is a hard worker on the offensive and defensive boards, sets a physical ball screen and rolls hard to the rim.
Parker Jefferson Parker Jefferson 6'10" | C Waxahachie | 2025 State #46 Nation TX , 2025, YBE
I really liked Jefferson’s combination of hands, footwork and touch from multiple areas of the floor. The 6-foot-10 forward/center thrived in the mid-post as a guy who could dive to the rim, catch passes from guards and translate them into quick finishes. Jefferson can also step out and stretch the floor to the three-point line. The rising junior is a smart interior player and uses shot fakes and fundamental skills to score in a variety of ways inside.
