The ability to spread the floor out and create different opportunities for your team opens up the more emphasis you put into it. We have players who can shoot lights out and well beyond the three-point line. Here are my top sharpshooters for the 2025 class part III.
Joe-Samuel is a lethal shooter from downtown and can create nothing out of something on the offensive end. He gets a good lift on his jump shot while also having a high release point making it difficult to get a contest. He can get into his shooting motion no matter how awkward of a situation he is in. Joe-Samuel can hit tough fading-away shots from the wings and likes to shoot well past the three-point line.
Ebeling is the type of sharpshooter who succeeds in running off of off-ball screens for catch-and-shoot opportunities. He will tire his defender throughout a game giving him easy open shots on the wings. His shot is smooth and quick that needs just a small bit of space to get off. Ebeling also must be guarded 3-4 steps beyond the three-point line because of his elite range. Contests do little to nothing once he gets ready to shoot.
Highlights
Parrish is a quick combo guard that will look to get his shot by any means. Before looking to shoot from deep Parrish likes to sell the pump fake into a shot or fake the pass to create extra space. Once his feet are set he will rarely miss. He can hit all of the tough shots you put in front of him including transition three-point shots. Parrish has good range and is always ready for the catch-and-shoot shot.
Mcrae does most of his offensive damage in the catch-and-shoot pairing with his fast release. This allows him to get his shot off over almost anyone. He likes to come off of off-ball screens and get extra separation for open shots. Mcrae’s favorite shot seems to be the corners as he seems to never miss from there. Since he’s such an elite shooter many of his teammates can drive into the lane and draw double teams to kick it out to him for the open three-point shot.
Smith is a high-volume shooter that will look to pull up from deep any chance he gets. His impressive handles allow him to get to any spot on the court to get any shot he wants. He can break defenders down and hit the step-back three-pointer. Smith will look to hit the pull-up shot in transition. He also must be guarded the second he steps past half-court because that is within his range and will not hesitate if he is left open from that deep.
