Continue ReadingWith the final live period of the summer coming up (besides the NCAA camps), we thought it would be a good time to take a look at some of the prospects who have seen their recruitment pick up the most. We will take a look at those prospects who have picked up division offers so far this summer, and a little about their game. Here’s a look at the 2026 VA prospects who have new schools recruiting them this summer.
Latrell Allmond Latrell Allmond 6'8" | C John Marshall | 2026 State VA | 6’8” PF | John Marshall
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #1
Spring/Summer Offers: Florida State, LSU, Georgetown, VCU
Allmond is already widely considered a national recruit, and his offer list shows that as he already held double digit offers going into the summer and just continued to see them pour on leading his talented Team Loaded VA 15U group. He’s a man amongst boys in his age group and even against older players, as he is strong and physical enough to clear out space and finish in the paint, he’s a big time athlete who rebounds and plays above the rim and he has a budding skillset on the perimeter too. He’ll continue to garner national attention over the next few years and will have his choice of wherever he wants to go in the end.
Jordan Smith | 6’3” CG | Paul VI
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #2
Spring/Summer Offers: Syracuse, Maryland, VT, Mount St. Mary’s, Providence
Smith played quite a bit as a freshman on a PVI team that was a top 5 team in the country and has double digit division one players, and this summer he’s showing he’s going to be a big time recruit as he’s been dominant on the TTO 16U team and was fantastic at DMV Live picking up offers from all over. An athletic combo guard, Smith has a tough mindset and game to go along with it as he gets after it defensively as a lock down on the perimeter and is a good shot blocker, he makes the right play consistently offensively and he just brings great energy. He still has room to improve but he’s an efficient, unselfish and winning type of player who will garner attention for a long time coming.
Quincy Wadley Quincy Wadley 6'5" | SF Bishop O'Connell | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SF | Bishop O’Connell
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #4
Spring/Summer Offers: Georgia, Villanova, Maryland, Providence
Wadley has already impressed by being named First Team All WCAC as just a freshman, something that’s relatively unheard of, and that has helped him make a name for himself on the recruiting trail which he’s seen many coaches come to him recently. The 6’4” wing has long arms and is active on both ends of the floor, he’s a driller from deep with good range and the ability to get hot quickly, he scores it well from multiple levels and he has a good feel as a playmaker too. He’s already a pretty highly touted recruit and as he continues to develop he’ll see more and more schools come to play.
Adam Oummidoch | 6’4” SG | Bishop O’Connell
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #5
Spring/Summer Offers: Maryland, Providence, Washington
Oummidoch was also a very impressive freshman for O’Connell last season, and he has turned heads already this summer picking up some big time offers from one coast to the other. The 6’4” two guard is a strong and physical guard who gets downhill and has great body control to finish through contact, he has improved in his efficiency from deep and while he makes it look easy he plays with a good motor and is very productive across the board. He still has room to grow and improve and will be one to watch with high majors moving forward.
Keon Mitchell Keon Mitchell 6'2" | PG Norview | 2026 State VA | 6’2” PG | Norview
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #8
Spring/Summer Offers: Norfolk State
While the DMV kids have got most of the attention in the 2026 class, there’s a handful of guards in the 757 who are starting to make a name for themselves and the freshman year Mitchell had was nothing short of fantastic. The 6’2” lead guard is big and physical when he gets downhill and he’s able to move defenders out of his way to finish, he is shifty off the bounce with the ability to change speeds and directions and make plays for himself and others with the ball in his hands and he’s able to score the ball in so many different ways. He has tons of raw talent and will continue to develop as a pure point guard, but he already shows he’s well beyond his years as player.
Anthony Brown Anthony Brown 6'1" | PG Paul VI | 2026 State VA | 6’1” PG | Paul VI
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #9
Spring/Summer Offers: Providence, George Mason
Brown didn’t get too much time on the talented PVI team last year, but he showed at DMV Live in June that he’s on this team for a reason and he’ll be another division one recruit as he’s already picking up offers due to his play. The 6’1” lead guard is a strong player who can get downhill and play through contact with the ability to finish in traffic and at the rim, he has tremendous feel and vision as a playmaker who can make all the right passes, he can make shots from deep and he’s a very good defender as well. He’s a true floor general that is well beyond his years as a leader and lead guard who will continue to see his recruitment pick up over the next few years.
Styles Clemmons Styles Clemmons 6'2" | PG Princess Anne | 2026 State VA | 6’1” PG | Princess Anne
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #12
Spring/Summer Offers: VCU
Clemmons was out of this world as a freshman at Princess Anne, as he was one of the leading scorers in the 757 and was named Class 5 Region A Player of the Year, an award that is usually held for upperclassmen. Clemmons is a walking bucket who can score the ball in a number of different ways, he’s dynamic off the bounce as he’s shifty and quick with good burst, he is excellent in pick-and-rolls with his ability to turn the corner and put pressure on the defense and he is an excellent finisher at the rim and in the midrange. He already holds a handful of offers and he’ll see his recruitment pick up in a big way moving forward.
Tyrease Hunter Tyrease Hunter 6'3" | CG Roselle Catholic | 2026 State NJ | 5’9” PG | Hopewell
Prep Hoops VA Ranking: #14
Spring/Summer Offers: Auburn, Seton Hall
Hunter was also a very good freshman for a Hopewell team that made a run to the state semifinals, and this summer he’s been particularly good as he’s good as he’s shown his ability to score it at a high level and has picked up two high major offers because of it. Hunter is a dead eye shooter from deep with a quick release and deep range, he can get to spots off the bounce and make contested shots, he can finish with both hands at the rim and he gets hot quickly and can fill it up in bunches. He will be one of the top players in the Richmond area this year and should see his recruitment continue to pick up moving forward.
