Despite losing their opening contest, a pair of prospects put up some big performances. First is Connor bangs Connor bangs 6'4" | SG Spring Lake Park | 2024 MN , who showed plenty of range and hit five triples against Arnold Elite National. He also got it done with some drives to the paint en route to a 19-point win. The other name to watch was Josiah Coleman. He finished that game with a morning-high 31 points in the loss. Showing nothing but confidence out there and finding the hoop from all three levels. To start this game against DBA, Both Bangs and Coleman were finding new ways to contribute. Bangs got it done at the free throw line at a consistent rate in the first half, while Coleman flashed some nice capabilities as a floor general. In addition to a few three’s, he became heavily involved in the passing game. Even Blake Femrite had a strong performance in this one. He flashed nice spacing on the floor capped off with a smooth shooting stroke. He also displayed an ability to slash inside and make plays with others. As the game went on, Connor bangs Connor bangs 6'4" | SG Spring Lake Park | 2024 MN became more confident driving the lane and scored four inside buckets to begin the second half. Josiah Coleman also got it done by scoring inside, knocking down free throws, and burying another deep triple. When the game was tied, he came through in several ways to push MN Heat ahead. United Hoops (WI) Puts on a Show vs MO Legacy 2025
In 2nd round play, United Hoops faced off against NXT Pro’s MO Legacy. Point Guard Kenyon Miggins Kenyon Miggins 5'10" | PG Marshall | 2025 State WI was a big factor on the floor for United early, with a quick first-step to the lane for a string of inside buckets. He also moved well defensively and showed plenty of speed up and down the floor. Like usual, Tavian Crawford and Max Raimer found their way. Both were consistent playmakers and displayed a smooth feel around the rim. Raimer even got involved in the rebounding category. Tavian Crawford got bouncy and lifted off for an alley-oop slam to begin the second half. He found three more inside buckets by creating space down the lane and smoothly at the rim. He had United Hoops first 10 points in the second half. At the same time, Kenyon Miggins Kenyon Miggins 5'10" | PG Marshall | 2025 State WI was becoming very involved as a passer and racked up countless assists. It took no-time for United Hoops to blow this game wide open and win 63-28.
Arnold Elite National Downs GABL Future
Arnold Elite’s National Team picked up a win early this morning and were back in action Saturday afternoon. Earlier in the day, 6’5” F Kellen Jedlicka scored 25 points in a win over MN Heat. He’s a big-bodied forward with a wide range of skills. Not only did he score efficiently inside, but he also knocked down three triples too. Against GABL future, Jedlicka used some solid post-play to help put Arnold Elite ahead early. He was also active on the glass and snagged a few rebounds too. When he subbed out, other players stepped up. One name in particular was Malakai Maddox. The 6’2” G displayed a smooth touch attacking the rim and found many opportunities at the line in the opening half. He put them up 18 at halftime with another strong drive. Malcolm Collymore is another prospect I like. He’s got nice length at 6’7” and found his groove inside with some nice post work and at least three second-chance finishes. Kellen Jedlicka later extended his range for a pair of threes too. His consistency was key to a dominating win for Arnold Elite. Kellen Jedlicka scored 17, Malachi Maddox scored 18, and Malcolm Collymore scored 12 to lead the way.
Wyatt Powell Leads MO Legacy into 17U Semifinal
In the first 17U Quarterfinal of the weekend, MO Legacy and J-Rock Ballers squared off. Defense was heavy to start. I was a big fan of what MO Legacy’s Chase Hembree. The 6’8” forward displayed so much length and forced challenging shots in the early going. He even swatted a shot out of bounds. Wyatt Powell showed lots of potential early. Knocked down a midrange jumper and displayed an excellent touch with the ball. He extended his range for a three later on to reach double figures. He ended the opening half in style with a half-court heave at the buzzer. On the other side, Kaivon Cunningham led the way for J-Rock. He’s also a lengthy player who frustrates opponents defensively. On offense, he scored eight quick points and displayed a difficult shot to block. Early in the second half, Legacy started to take over. Both Powell and F Mason English started creating separation for easy buckets inside. Powell also displayed guard potential with some solid footwork and good vision with the ball. They had their first double-digit advantage when English found Powell off the pick-and-roll for an open three. Powell led the way with 28 points and five 3-pointers for MO Legacy, while Mason English added 16 points in a 63-43 win.
