<p>The NCAA Division I recruiting calendar has been posted for the following year and spans from August 2023-July 2024. This will be essential for class of 2024 and 2025 prospects looking to be recruited at the Division I level. <p>A dead period is that period of time when it is not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off the member institution's campus or to permit official or unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to the institution's campus.</p>

<p>The quiet period then spans from August 21st to September 8th.</p>

<p>A quiet period is that period of time when it is permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member institution's campus. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts or evaluations may be made during the quiet period.</p>

<p>The recruiting period then runs from September 9th to March 31st with dead periods from November 6th to 9th and December 24th to 26th being the only interruptions of the recruiting period for almost seven months.</p>

<p>A recruiting period allows authorized athletics department staff may make in-person, off campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.</p>

<p>April through July then gets a bit more complicated but the essential information during these months are live period events. There are two spring live period events for high school prospects to be seen at NCAA certified events which are April 19th-21st and April 26th-28th. </p>

<p>Transfer visits for athletes in the portal will begin on April 11th at noon through April 24th except April 15th-18th and reopen for a recruiting period again April 29th through May 2nd.</p>

<p>There are no spring live period events in the month of May, that then brings us to June where two weekends will be live period weekends for NFHS and NCAA approved events. These weekends are June 21st-23rd and June 28th-30th. These weekends will be played with your high school programs.</p>

<p>July has one live period for NCAA approved events which runs from Thursday, July 11th until Sunday July 14th. Institutional camps and permissible governing body events are also approved during this weekend. Finally, the NCAA Basketball Academy will run from July 22nd-25th.</p>
