Top new guards from 2024 Rankings Update Part 2

Weatherspoon is a skilled point guard who can get hot in a hurry from the outside. Despite his size, Weatherspoon is a pest defensively and uses his quickness to give opposing ball handlers trouble. Long is an impressive athlete who stood out with his physicality and motor. Potentially the most productive 2022-23 high school season of any player featured in this article, Long averaged 16 points and 5 rebounds a night as a Junior. An impressive athlete, Majors first stood out last fall at both the Toledo Top 64 event and the Prep Hoops 250 Expo where he had a couple dunks and made impact plays at both ends. Majors made his debut in the rankings after a strong spring with the AFO Michigan Mustangs on the NY2LA circuit. I liked how Majors is capable of finishing with both hands at the rim and plays at good pace. As a Junior Bartchak was a key bench piece for the Division II state runner up Lutheran West Longhorns. Bartchak is a guard who brings a ton of energy with his ability to create off the bounce with either a pull-up jumper or attack at the rim. Lutheran West once again projects to be one of the top teams in northeast Ohio and again compete for a state title.
