Another prospect who really improved his stock during the grassroots season, Cady is coming off a strong season for Marion Harding but this could be the year where the Presidents end up playing a role in the central district Division I playoffs with the combo of Cady, Marquis Long Marquis Long 6'2" | SG Marion Harding | 2024 State OH and other talented pieces. Since the end of his junior season, Cady has grown, gotten more explosive and is shooting the ball with a lot of confidence.

Cady has already announced he plans on taking a post grad year and reclass into the 2025 class, we’re focused on four-year high school prospects so he’ll remain in 2024 for our rankings. The reason he’s helped his stock so much recently is finding consistency in his performances. A big-time athlete and shooter, Cady can stretch the defense and get above the rim in transition. With the post grad year, Cady will likely focus on developing physically and improving as a defender. With his length and explosiveness, Cady has the physical tools to make a jump on that end of the court. Marion Harding sometimes gets forgotten about in the central district Division I playoffs based on how far north they are, but with Cady and a solid core returning, they could make some noise in March.

Another prospect who made his debut in our rankings at the start of spring and now moves up our list, Cady is a rapidly improving prospect. With a lot of shooting ability at 6’6, Cady can stretch defenses with his quick release and ability to shoot over defenders. After watching the highlights he posted from the Bowling Green team camp, it seems like Cady might’ve taken another jump in the past month or so. I’ll be curious to see Cady again because he seems to be showing some improved explosiveness in the open court and is more consistently dominating competition. This might not be the last time you see Cady’s ranking make a big leap if he continues to play like he did in those highlights. A late blooming wing who is making a lot of noise right now, Cady is a name to track in central Ohio’s 2024 class.

A teammate of Long’s during both the high school and grassroots seasons, Cady once again shot the ball at a high level from the outside. He’s proven that this skill is a major strength for his game with his size and ability to get off his shot over smaller defenders. For Cady to take the next step in his development, he needs to bring consistent effort on both ends of the court and impact the game in ways besides perimeter shooting. The talent is there for Cady to take that next step and help him get on the radar of college programs. Long and Cady are a pair of prospects for small college programs to check out in Fort Wayne next weekend.

Cady came onto our radar at both the Prep Hoops 250 Expo and the Evan Turner showcase, showing his floor spacing ability and perimeter skill for a prospect his size. Playing for Team Wildcat-Silver, Cady is getting good reps creating for himself and being a primary scoring option. With a long wingspan, Cady also has some potential defensive upside down the line as he continues to fill out. A player to watch in north central Ohio next season.

Cady was a new name for me as the lefty wing shot the ball well from the outside. A prospect with some intriguing potential for a guy his size, Cady is starting to develop into his talent and turn it into production. I also liked how Cady took advantage of size mismatches in the paint and scored over his right shoulder. I’ll be intrigued to follow up with Cady’s development as he progresses through the spring and summer.
