Here is another group of players that stood out at Monday's Shot Clock Classic at Anoka-Ramsey.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574215' first='Abu' last='Keita'] of Benilde-St. Margaret's (6'4 SG, 2025). Keita's four threes were key in BSM being able to earn a nice win over Osseo and Keita continues to make the effort to be a solid defensive player for a team that has been considered young but is moving into more of a veteran area now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284125' first='De'Mari' last='Larkins'] of Osseo (5'10 PG, 2024). Osseo had a shot to beat BSM and a big part of that was the way Larkins ran the Osseo offense with efficiency. Larkins attacked gaps at the right times forcing BSM to foul him numerous times leading to five sets of foul shots (he made 7 of 10). A 17 point, several assist game for an efficient day running the half court offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1288812' first='Alvin' last='Payne'] of Blaine (6'1 PG, 2024). Payne broke down the opposing defense with regularity constantly getting past the first level of defender and then finishing over/through/getting by the help defenders. Payne is quick and showed great body control bursting through Mound-Westonka who just did not have an athlete to move with him. He controlled the game and led the Bengals to a 86-83 win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1288702' first='Kai' last='Penney'] of Buffalo (6'4 SF, 2024). Penny grabbed the attention of the crowd with multiple dunks. Any time he got a step to the rim it was a throw down plus he was active on the offensive glass as well as cutting within the offense to produce. Scored 16 for his team and used that activity to defend in a strong way for Buffalo as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1572689' first='Jalen' last='Wilson'] of Benilde St. Margaret's (6'7 PF, 2025). Wilson's strong second half propelled the Knights to a 77-71 win over Osseo. After starting slow with two first half baskets Wilson had a key And1 in the second half that built momentum. All in all, the very skilled back to the basket junior had a dozen second half points and got to the line finishing four of five free throws. Scored 16 for the game.
