Bishop Gorman high school was crawling with media, writers, scouts and NBA personnel for the three day event. We were able get eyes on every team and every player in attendance. Below is a breakdown of the best shooters we saw.
Cameron Scott Cameron Scott 6'6" | SG Lexington | 2024 State #23 Nation SC , 2024, Lexington (SC)
Scott was the camp’s leader in three-pointers made with 23 over the course of his four camp games and the Top 25 game where he hit four to lead his team to a resounding victory. The 6-foot-6 swingman has a fluid jump shot with a pure release and his ability to elevate off the floor allows him to rise up and shoot over the top of defenders closing out.
Darius Adams Darius Adams 6'4" | SG La Lumiere | 2025 #32 Nation IN , 2025, Manasquan (NJ)
Adams is a multi-spot and multi-style three-point shooting threat and by that I mean he can knock down perimeter jumpers in a variety of ways and any angle or area of the floor. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is consistent off the catch but can also break down defenders in isolation and create space to get his shot off. Adams was most lethal in transition where he dribbled himself into and knocked down rhythm threes. Adams hit 16 triples in five games and connected at a 55 percent clip.
Kon II Knueppel, 2024, Wisconsin Lutheran (WI)
When you look at the numbers, Knueppel’s 10 made threes don’t necessarily pop off the screen but its the way he hit them which earned him a spot on this list. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard had one of the more fundamental sets of shooting mechanics in the camp with his strong, balanced base, high release point and snap of his wrist that led to great ball rotation. Knueppel hit on 59 percent of his three-point attempts.
Nate Guerengomba Nate Guerengomba 6'4" | SG South Kent | 2024 State New E , 2024, South Kent (CT)
Guerengomba lit the Bishop Gorman nets up on Sunday with an eye-popping opening night performance which saw him go 9-for-11 from distance en route to 33 points. The 6-foot-4 senior-to-be cooled off a little bit throughout the rest of the weekend but still connected on 18 of his 42 attempts from deep – good for a 43 percent clip.
Ryan Jones Ryan Jones 6'9" | PF The Rock | 2024 State #48 Nation FL , 2024, The Rock School (FL)
Jones posted an impressive shooting line highlighted by 4.4 made three’s per game while hitting those at a 56 percent clip. The 6-foot-7 wing/forward has tight shooting mechanics with no wasted motion and the simplicity and compactness of his form makes it easy for him to hold the mechanics throughout each shot. Jones was highly effective as a stretch-four who picked and popped in ball screen action or stretched the floor for guards who hit him with drive-and-kick passes.
Tahaad Pettiford Tahaad Pettiford 6'1" | PG Hudson Catholic | 2024 State #27 Nation NJ , 2024, Hudson Catholic (NJ)
Pettiford is perhaps the most difficult guy to guy to defend on this list because of his combination of quickness off the dribble and his ability to create space to get his shot off. The Auburn-commit is a crafty left-handed point guard who has deep range on his jumper. His confidence in pulling from deep off the bounce combined with his quick release and ability to get hot in a hurry were the things that stood out most about his shooting. Pettiford hit 22 total three’s in five games and connected at a 51 percent clip.
