Which prospects stood out on the final day of the NHR State tournament?

[player_tooltip player_id='1617731' first='Cole' last='Stern'] -- SG -- Minnesota Select

With his team trailing late in the game, Stern decided to take over. The shooting guard did it all. On defense, he was a pest. the SG tallied steals and challenged shots. Offensively, Stern was dominant. He made long-range shots and proved to be effective as a slasher. I loved how Stern took control in crunch time. He certainly proved to have the clutch gene.

[player_tooltip player_id='2406398' first='Malachi' last='Gant'] -- CG -- Minnesota Select

I thought that Gant did some really positive things on Sunday. The [program_tooltip program_id='154606' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] combo guard consistently made smart basketball plays. He passed the ball well, scored when the opportunity presented itself, and also played excellent defense. I thought that Gant made several key buckets when his team was in need of an offensive jolt. Gant no doubt boosted his stock on Sunday at the NHR State tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874818' first='Dane' last='Skime'] -- G -- MN Lighting

Skime was unstoppable on Saturday at Maple Grove Middle School. The Minnesota Lighting guard was able to get downhill and attack all game long. He has a tight handle which he uses to get defenders off balance and score at the rim. Skime was able to score 22 points without making a three. He did all of his work from inside the three-point arc.

Cody Logering -- G -- Gain Elite

Logering was so effective for Gain Elite on Saturday. I thought that Gain Elite had a really good game overall and Logering was a big reason for his team's success. He tallied 12 points and also did many of the small things. The guard was able to rebound, defend, and pass at a high level. Logering is a well-rounded, versatile player who can do many different things at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1617786' first='Nigel' last='Caldwell'] -- PG -- Gain Elite

Caldwell played a near-perfect game on Sunday. The Gain Elite point guard was so, so good for his team in the winning effort. It didn't matter what situation the PG was in, Caldwell found ways to impact the game positively. Offensively, Caldwell makes winning plays. He is able to pass and score will what appears to be ease. Caldwell put up an efficient 22 points in a big-time win.

John Johnson -- PF -- MN Chill

I really like the grit and toughness that Johnson brings to the table. Around the cup, the MN Chill power forward is strong and physical. Many prospects shy away from contact in the paint. This certainly isn't the case with Johnson. The PF uses his strength and size to finish difficult layups around the cup. Even though I just saw Johnson play for a couple of minutes on Sunday, he certainly caught my eye.
