Charlotte Catholic vs. Mooresville will be a cross-county matchup I'm super interested in, with a lot of young talent on both sides of the scorers table. Ryan Lewis is expected to conduct the show this year for the Cougars as a knockdown shooter and scorer, and should get some help from rapidly developing 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1286838' first='Chris' last='Eagan']. [player_tooltip player_id='1154669' first='Liam' last='Gates'] may also take over some ball handling duties and initiate offense this year as well, and [player_tooltip player_id='2375700' first='Eddie' last='David'] will compete with him for backcourt minutes. For Mooresville, their intriguing group starts with dynamic slasher [player_tooltip player_id='1270430' first='Travelle' last='Bryson']. Inside is 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1409596' first='Dylan' last='Clark'], and his battle with Eagan should be a fun one. [player_tooltip player_id='2302436' first='Jalen' last='Chambers'] and 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2362523' first='Eian' last='Bailey'] will be interesting guard prospects to watch and see what they bring to the table as well. Overall, both teams are talented and deep, making this one a matchup I'm very interested in.

Evening Session

Dudley is a program who graduated three leading scorers last year, but there's still some new guys I'd like to check out in their matchup with Chambers. [player_tooltip player_id='2055662' first='CJ' last='Jones'] is undeniably a top shooter in the state, regardless of class, and his progression will be a priority for me to see. [player_tooltip player_id='2320793' first='Nasir' last='Newkirk'] is a two sport athlete but has showed talent on the hardwood, and Ishmael Monde has had a solid showing so far on the grassroots scene. Chambers is a pretty known commodity already, but it is always good to watch [player_tooltip player_id='1680976' first='Jordan' last='Patton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1076352' first='Maurio' last='Hanson'] on a basketball court with their entertaining and physical styles of play. However, they've got 3 2026s to get eyes on now. [player_tooltip player_id='2023905' first='Tarris' last='Bouie'], [player_tooltip player_id='2449196' first='Malik' last='McCotter'] and Brennan Mckoy are all exciting players, and I think Bouie and McCotter have the potential to be special. I'm excited to see all these young guys on the court together and check out their improvement.
