Like his brother, Coyie will return to Chesnee after spending the past season at Broome. Coyie will play a little more off the ball, but can heat up quickly. He is a terrific spot-up shooter that has a very wide base on his release, which makes it hard for defenders to tell whether he will drive or shoot. His best performance yesterday came against his former team when he had 17 Points, 6 Rebounds, and 3 Steals in a Win over the Centurions.
Lance gave great minutes off the bench for the Centurions on Wednesday. He sparked the offense in all 3 games and proved to be a great leader both on the floor and when on the bench. He is a relentless driver, willing to get two feet in the lane to either finish or kick to teammates. Whatever his role in the upcoming season will be, I’m confident Henderson will have a big impact for Coach McManus in his First Year at Broome.
Highlights
Landon Simmons
Landon Simmons
Simmons is a defensive-minded wing on a young Southside team. He can defend multiple positions, alter shots both around the rim and on the perimeter, and rebounds his position very well. In the opening game of Wednesday’s event, he also had a solid offensive game. He put up 7 Points, missing just 1 shot in a close loss to Union County.
Eli Brown
Eli Brown
Eli Brown is a 2025 C that is very much a Hybrid 5. He is not the most athletic, but he can stretch out to the top of the key or the corners, can handle the ball on the dribble drive, and protect the rim. Brown has shown nice development over the Spring while continuing to grow, and will likely slot into the Starting Center role for the Eagles in the Upcoming Season.
