The 6-6 rising senior forward did a little bit of everything on the floor for Pembroke Pines Charter on Sunday. His passing ability has continued to improve as the summer has gone on. He is also a huge difference maker on the defensive end and took a couple key charges in the win over Windermere. Look for his recruitment stock to start heating up as we gear into July.
The 6-3 rising junior guard should be starting to get on college coaches radars soon. Smith does everything on the offensive end whether it’s attacking the basket or setting up his teammates for a great shot. Smith had 20+ points to help lead his team into wins over Lowndes (Georgia) and Viera on Sunday. Smith has shown he can be a competent point guard with his decision making and has continued to make his teammates better. Huge upside for the rising junior.
Highlights
The 6-8 power forward is a shot blocker and rim protector where he uses his length to his advantage. Drain is also a threat to shoot the ball from the perimeter if you give him time and space. He is consistently getting near double-doubles on every given night. Look for a big month of July for Drain as college coaches will begin to start recruiting him.
The 6-3 rising senior forward continues to be one of the sharpest shooters in the Class of 2024. Patterson makes an impact whether he has the ball or playing away from it. He averaged nearly 15 points per game in both games on Sunday leading Providence to wins in both games. His defensive presence also spoke volumes whether he was on the ball or off the ball, he brings a ton of physicality forcing his opponent into taking tough shots.
The 6-8 rising junior has huge upside whether he’s finishing around the rim and becoming a viable threat to shoot from the mid-range. Johnson has displayed a ton of athleticism as well as paint protection over the course of the summer and this weekend was no different. Johnson should start getting on college coaches’ radar as we gear into the July live period.
The 6-3 rising senior guard and former Mercer University commit was sensational in their game against Williston on Sunday. Jackson finished with a game-high 21 points on four made 3-pointers, including the game-winner. His ability to play on and off the ball defense also has improved dramatically. Jackson has improved his pure perimeter over the course of the summer shooting nearly 40 percent from beyond the arc across four games this weekend.
The 6-2 rising junior guard has continued to improve his perimeter shooting as he averaged nearly 20 points per game in all four games this weekend for Alonso. Kyler has also been a great on the ball defender throughout the summer and is intrigued to have a big July. Kyler shot nearly 45 percent from beyond the arc and has been a viable rebounder on the defensive end as well.
Highlights
The 6-7 rising sophomore small forward is still getting acclimated by his new teammates. He was aggressive to the basket and finishing strong around the rim. Hammermeister plays with a ton of length and can defend multiple positions at a high level. His ability to shoot consistently from the mid-range has also improved over the course of the summer. Huge upside for Hammermeister as he heads into his sophomore season.
Hosten, a 6-7 rising senior wing continues to have an outstanding summer for Impact Christian Academy whether he’s becoming a lob threat or rebounding on the defensive end. Hosten plays with a ton of length and his size is an indication into forcing the opposition into taking a tough shot. His versatility on the offensive end has also continued to improve as he scores on multiple levels and play multiple positions.
