Johnson has been a double-double machine throughout his career and he continued that through postseason play with an 18 point, 16 rebound performance in a win over Oasis, and a 15 point, 16 rebound outing in a victory over Glades Central. The 6’8″ senior has tremendous athleticism and is very quick off floor where he likes to get the crowd involved with his rim-rattling dunks. Johnson is just fun to watch both offensively and defensively, and has established himself as one of the top players in not just SWFL but the entire state.

Johnson may be one of the most intimidating and exciting players to watch in the entire state. He is a freak athletically, and a double-double machine. He gets the crowd on their feet with his rim-rocking dunks night in and night out, and is a huge presence in the middle with his ability to block shots. Last season the 6’8″ PF developed a bit of an outside game, where he was able to space out the defense a little more, and if he continues to develop that outside shot the sky’s the limit. Johnson has started to see some offers roll in, and look for that to continue as he looks to have a monster senior year for the Griffins.

He recorded 26 pts and 15 rebounds in an opening round win, followed by a 10 pt, 15 rebound effort in a victory over Tampa Catholic where he battle some back issues. Still dealing with the back, Johnson, left it all on the floor in the Regional Final loss to Berkeley Prep, where they came up just short losing by 3.
