Mr. Jones, meet the rim. Rim, meet Mr. Jones. Jones is one of the most explosive prospects we’ve seen at his size. He consistently puts on a show during fast breaks with highlight-reel dunks. His finishing package includes an array of acrobatic finishes with a flair of creativity.
Defensively, Jones is hard to stay in front of, thanks to his next-level acceleration and deceleration abilities.

Jones continued his hot start to the 2024-25 season in a tough loss to a strong St. Thomas Aquinas squad. The 6’3″ CG has proven to be one of the top scorers in the area, where he is very athletic and can finish at the rim, but also shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate. He finished with 24 points and 4 rebounds in the losing effort, but was effective at creating for himself and his teammates, and shot his jumper with confidence and efficiency.

Gateway Charter’s jack-of-all trades has stormed out of the gate this year and is playing with a purpose to the start season. He opened the season with a 19 point performance in a win over Riverview and hasn’t looked back. Jones can score on all 3-levels, and likes to attack the basket and finish above the rim, but can also hurt you from deep, where he shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate. He notched his 1,000th career point in a win over Providence and recorded a season-high 25 points and 11 rebounds in a gutsy win over Port Charlotte.

Jones is coming off a huge season for the Griffins last year, and looks to help lead his squad to a third-straight District title and a deep playoff run in 2024-25. The lefty sharpshooter has a great mid-range game, but is also a tremendous 3-point shooter. If you play up on him though he has a quick first step and likes to attack the basket and finish above the rim. The senior CG is long and athletic which allows him to guard multiple positions. Jones is a kid who just loves the game, and who plays with both energy and emotion.

Gateway Charter’s super athletic wing has a had a busy summer, making his name well-known across the state and even further. He suited up for Team Knight who had a successful Prelude League run in 2024. Jones is a true 3-level scorer who can beat you in a number of ways, he is explosive off the floor and can finish at the rim, or can knock down the 3-ball at a very high rate. He plays the game hard and with lots of energy. Jones earned an all-star selection and a spot in the 3-point contest for the Prelude League, with his successful play throughout the summer. The 6’3″ CG should be gaining a lot of interest heading into his senior year.

Jones is a long, athletic prospect who plays the game with a lot of energy and emotion. He has a certain swagger to him each time he takes the court, and you can tell he just loves the game. He’s an above-average rebounder on both ends of the floor and likes to jump the passing lanes, turning defense into offense. Jones has a long wingspan where he looks to get defections on defense, and is a tremendous transition player on both sides of the ball. He can score on every level and has great range on his 3-point shot, but also likes to get to the basket and play above the rim. He’s an exciting player to follow throughout the summer.

is an athletic 6’3 lead guard with a knack for defense. He’s laterally quick and has the length to keep ball handlers in front. He runs the floor, forces turnovers, and finishes well on the break and in traffic.
