Jamarion Batemon Jamarion Batemon 6'3" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2025 State #174 Nation WI – Guard – Power 5 (Milwaukee Academy of Science)
Think Batemon has earned a top five standing in this class after a phenomenal spring. The 6-foot-3 guard showed out against some of the top talent across the country, earning a power-five scholarship offer from Illinois. The shooting is impressive for Batemon, who has in-the-gym range and a killer instinct, but I’m more enamored with the two-way ability. Saw a different side of Batemon going back to last season, able to defend forwards if he had to and shut people down. A plus-length, raw body that still has a lot of room for growth, Batemon could be a scary good player at the next level.
Brooks Hinson Brooks Hinson 6'1" | PG Marshfield | 2025 State #251 Nation WI – Point Guard – Wisconsin Playmakers (Marshfield)
Need to see Hinson in more high-level games, but it’s not hard to see he’s arguably the best pure point guard in this 2025 class. A lot of the qualities you want in a floor general, Hinson does them above and beyond. A leader, high-IQ guard that plays mistake-free basketball, Hinson elevates his teams. Able to control games as a scorer and a facilitator, Hinson might not wow you athletically or size-wise, but he’s got the goods upstairs and just has a different feel for the game. Hinson is also one of the best 3-point shooters in this class. You leave him open, you’ll pay. Hinson is a knockdown shooter that gets hot and stays hot throughout the course of the game. While he’s a pass-first guard, Hinson can get 20 if his team needs it.
Gavin Gores Gavin Gores 6'10" | PF Cumberland | 2025 State WI – Power Forward – Wisconsin Playmakers (Cumberland)
Gores will likely make the biggest jump out of any prospect in the rankings. The measurables and upside make him a very good prospect. At 6-foot-8, Gores runs the floor really well, impacts the game above the rim, and can defend on the perimeter as well. He’s got some post skills and the ability to stretch the floor from 3-point range. Think Gores will surely end up being a very good Division 2 prospect. That’s his floor. If the perimeter skills continue to improve and Gores can be a reliable back-to-the-basket big man against size, he’s a D1 guy and those programs are sniffing around here already.

Tre Poteat Tre Poteat 6'1" | SG Verona | 2025 State WI – Shooting Guard – N/A (Verona)
Due to his blossoming football recruitment, won’t be seeing Poteat play an AAU ball. However, with Verona, it’s clear that Poteat is a top 50 prospect in the state right now. Due to all of his other commitments, Poteat’s not an overly skilled player, but if he put 100 percent or even 60 percent of his attention on hoops, he might be a top 30 guy. An athletic, aggressive two-guard who loves the big moments, Poteat is a gamer that can attack the rack, shoot in the mid-range, and play hard-nosed defense.
