Grabbing missed shots on both the defensive and offensive ends will always be important because of the opportunities it can open up for a team. Rebounding can help control the game and get better shots for everyone. The 2026 class features players that excel in just that. Here are my top rebounders for the 2026 class.
Derkack in my opinion is probably the most versatile player in this class because of his ability to do everything. He doesn’t have any weakness in his game. Derkack gives maximum effort into grabbing every rebound and likes to throw long outlet passes on the fastbreak. He boxes out well for his 6’4″ size at the shooting guard position. Derkack will grab offensive rebounds and run back out behind the arc to drain the three-pointer.
Harris is the ultimate three-point shooter and defensive player at the small position that any coach would love to have. He uses a lengthy 6’4″ frame to his advantage to grab boards every chance he gets. Harris is very athletic, allowing him to leap high for offensive rebounds and putbacks. He sells the pump fake well down low which he uses to draw contact with a defender in the air to go to the free throw line.
Highlights
Reevey is an athletic rim-running center that can do some of everything on the court. He is aggressive on every rebound and has strong hands which allow him to keep the ball away from lurking defenders. Reevey has great timing on offensive rebounds and putbacks. He uses his long arms to block everything in his path, being his team’s defensive anchor down in the paint. Reevey grabbed 119 rebounds this past season.
Highlights
Burnum is an old-school small forward that likes to play in the paint with a lot of physicality. He is a beast on the glass as he will sky after every board and dive after every loose ball. Burnum has got great post moves he likes to use especially with his consistent post hook. He sells the pump fake well off of offensive rebounds which he uses to go up for tough finishes. Burnum grabbed 128 boards this past season.
Boyd is another player who feasts in the paint standing at 6’4″ he plays a lot bigger than he is. He’s a human vacuum that will snag and engulf every board within the vicinity of his range. Boyd is a double-double machine putting up monster numbers on not only the glass but with his scoring ability too. He is strong at boxing out taller players and going up for strong putbacks playing through the contact. Boyd grabbed an impressive 235 rebounds this past season.
