Below is a review of prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond) who played outstanding basketball during the last two weeks of the first live period. Hopefully, college coaches were impressed by their performances too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1123911' first='Ron' last='Brown III'] – 6'2” / Junior / SCH Academy / Philly Revolution / Combo Guard: In the last two weeks Brown proved he can beat defenders off the bounce and get to the paint for lay-ins or to unleash floaters. Brown also continued to show that he can facilitate for teammates in transition or in the halfcourt. But what really grabbed our attention was the high percentage 3-point stroke he displayed of late.

[player_tooltip player_id='1867332' first='Duke' last='Cloran'] – 6'2” / Sophomore / Haverford School / PA Hoops Academy / Combo Guard: After a strong close to the high school season, Cloran then played solidly early on this spring. Still, it was his surge at the close of the first live period that really got him noticed. Simply put, Cloran is a playmaker. He is an excellent pass first floor general who plays with poise. When he slides off-ball, he can score at all three levels. He also has a knack for turning steals/ deflections into points.

Sebastian Edwards – 6'1″ / Sophomore / Roman Catholic / [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] / Shooting Guard: At the end of April, Edwards proved is a legitimate 20-point scoring threat who does not force ill-advised shots. He thrives in transition. In the half-court he can create space for himself off the dribble or via ball fakes. Edwards rebounds well for a guard too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1187959' first='Larenzo' last='Jerkins'] – 6'5” / Junior / Neumann-Goretti / BW Elite / Wing: If there is a SEPA 2024 who had a stronger close to the first live period then Jerkins, we have not heard about it. Jerkins gets downhill quickly for transition buckets. He also relentlessly attacks the rim in the halfcourt where he can finish with finesse or authority. Jerkins owns a developing face up game too. He is a beast on the glass at both ends. His endless motor is impressive a well. This week Jerkins received an offer from West Chester (D2).

[player_tooltip player_id='1188240' first='Tzuriel' last='Ogunnaike'] – 6'4" / Junior / Cumberland Valley / York Ballers / Wing: Ogunnaike is a plus player at both ends of the floor. On offense he can bully ball or score over smaller defenders. If opponents guard him with a big man, Oggunaike will simply blow past him with his handles. He will also use the dribble to shake that larger defender and create open space for jumpers. At the defensive end, his switch-ability enables Ogunnaike to guard 1 through 4.

[player_tooltip player_id='1379452' first='Andrew' last='Phillips'] – 6'4" / Senior / Malvern Prep / [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] / Wing: The 2022-23 Inter-Ac POY played extraordinarily well during early April but took things to another level over the last two weeks. His high percentage 3-point shooting proved that he can absolutely play as a stretch-4 at the collegiate level. His ability to finish around the rim with either hand is extremely noteworthy. The outstanding April posted by Phillips earned him an offer from Thomas Jefferson University (D2) and he has recently been contacted by several PSAC programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613878' first='RJ' last='Smith'] – 5'10” / Freshman / Imhotep Charter / NJ Scholars Elite / Point Guard: Smith has burst on to the grassroots scene with tremendous play at both EYBL and HGSL events. He slices and dices opponents off the dribble to create opportunities for himself and teammates. Plus, he can shoot the lights out from behind the arc. As a bonus, Smith is a tenacious on ball defender who is willing to guard for 94 feet. He plays with composure that is well beyond his years.
