Something I love about AAU is seeing how players can adjust to a team and a new role. Burris does a very nice job at transitioning into a secondary/third scoring option at points along with being perfectly fine without scoring. At Delaware Hayes, he is almost required to drop 20 points or more for them but for Midwest, he is a patent attacker that shows flashes of his great scoring but never forced anything. He was an efficient scorer. Showed off a great Mac to the basket game along with confidence in scoring at all 3 levels. A long player with sneaky-good athleticism. He dunked on someone off a backdoor cut. I am a big fan of

Gustin was dominant on the defensive end in the games I saw. He was truly able to control the game based on only his defense. His shot-blocking ability was great. He is super long and athletic. There was no shot he seemed to be out of reach for him. It also did not matter if he was the on-ball or help side defender, his anticipation and athleticism allowed him to block every shot felt like. He also guarded 1 thru 5 on opposing teams. Then offensively this kid is skilled too. He was very strong and aggressive with takes to the rim and finished every dump-off pass given to him. I am a big fan of Gustin’s raw athleticism and defensive ability.
Highlights
Moy is a very good basketball player. Plan and simple. He has all the tools of a good basketball player. He has the height and length of his position. He’s got a wide frame. Sneaky athletic shows itself when he is jumping into the passing lanes and getting steals. He has the ability to score on all three levels but likes the three-ball the most. He can flat-out shoot it. My favorite part about Moy’s game is his IQ for the game. His passing is very advanced and you can see it on the defensive end with how he sees things happening before they do.
Noah is as solid as they come. He doesn’t make any mistakes and you know what you are going to get out of him. He’s got a big strong build. So defensively he can guard bigger players but then athletic enough to stretch them out and score. He knocks down the open shots. Has many strong finishes. Great teammate as well. Always had great body language, helping teammates up, and cheering them on. Trent was one of my favorite players all weekend because he was very impactful on the game but didn’t do anything too flashy. He simply was just making plays.
