Andre’ Austin Andre’ Austin 6'3" | CG Bismarck | 2025 State #388 Nation ND , Pack 2024 (2025 Bismarck) – Austin’s mission was clear, get to the hoop. The rising junior guard was near unstoppable in doing that as he time after time got past defenders and to the rim, either scoring, drawing contact for free throw opportunities, or kicking it to a teammate for a score. One college coach we chatted with said he felt we’ll be seeing Austin play D-I basketball in college.
Joey Banry Joey Banry 5'9" | PG North Eugene | 2024 State OR , PA 17U (2024 North Eugene) – The most dynamic pure point guard we probably saw all weekend was Banry. The rising senior played a balanced game, setting up his teammates for scores either off the drive or pass while effectively getting his own offense when it was given to him. Banry was especially effective off the bounce and using the mid-range pull-up but was also a threat from deep.
Skyler Schmidt Skyler Schmidt 6'8" | SF Central Catholic | 2023 OR , More Than Hoops 2024 (2023 Central Catholic) – More Than Hoops 2024 had a number of guys that played well as they finished 4-0 at the Hustle Region Classic but Schmidt may have been the most consistent throughout. He was effective offensively both around the hoop and facing up from the perimeter and showed great effort hitting the boards.
Jaden Sweeney Jaden Sweeney 6'3" | SG Oak Grove | 2024 State CA-N , Showtime 17U (2024 Oak Grove) – Out of everyone in the event, it was Sweeney that we heard most about from both the club and college coaches in attendance. He’s long and athletic at 6-foot-4 and not only converted strong drives to the hoop and finished but also showed great proficiency in shooting the three. Defensively he was a factor as well.
Jordan Valencia-Alvarado, TC Elite 2024 (2023 Richland) – We didn’t have the numbers for everybody but our educated guess is that Valencia-Alvarado led the event in scoring. The unsigned senior was getting buckets all weekend, bombing away from three but also converting tough drives to the hoop and scoring over bigger players. His motor was non-stop and he was pound-for-pound the best rebounder we watched as well.
