2024 Player Rankings: Newcomers

He loves getting downhill and scores it with a nice layup package. He will defend multiple positions and he is a highlight on the break waiting to happen. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1479805' first='Dilen' last='Miller'] <strong>Tucson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An original North Carolina player moved to Texas and then moved out to Tucson last year. He unfortunately never played much with an injury. He is looking to make an impact in AZ this year and get his recruitment started. He is a three level scorer and makes plays for his teammates look easy. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1809640' first='Jinup' last='Dobuol'] <strong>Premier Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long wing forward who plays on one of the local Grind Session teams. He plays club for the North Carolina based 3SSB team Garner Road. He is an above the rim finisher, he will score from mid to the three point line and grab rebounds plus will block shots. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1938494' first='Wilfred' last='Kamukama'] <strong>AZ Compass Prep Black</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big post player with a strong base. He has very long arms and will run the floor. He gobbles up rebounds and blocks shots at a good clip. He will score on put backs and has a nice touch near the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1873794' first='Ashton' last='Romney'] <strong>Walden Grove</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly skilled combo guard with great size for position. He uses his size to get to the rim but it's his skill and mind that pops off the page. His pull-up from mid is clean as can be and he will make plays for his teammates often. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1873793' first='Alon' last='Johnson'] <strong>Deer Valley</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A freaky athlete is one of the more entertaining players to watch on the break. He is way above the rim on the break and will defend nearly every position on the floor. He looks to make plays the entire game. He has a tight handle and a burst to get to the rim. He can hit shots from all levels and plays with real energy on defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1950138' first='David' last='Rodriguez'] <strong>Mingus</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A high motored forward defends multiple positions. He is a good passer, scores it from both shooting levels and is more athletic than you realize. His versatility is his best trait and should have a big year in Northern Arizona. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
