Williams is the first of three ISA players making their debuts in the top 35 of our rankings. A big time shooter from the outside, Williams has the range to let it fly from deep with good mechanics and the ability to keep a repeatable shot even a few feet behind the high school line. I was also impressed with how Williams attacked with the ball in his hands, with the shiftiness to get past defenders at the point of attack. I’m excited to watch Williams more this spring and summer with Indy Heat and continue to evaluate his game.
Pierce has some really unique skill because he’s almost like a point forward with how he plays. I listed him at power forward because that’s going to be the position he defends at the next level but ISA ran a lot of their offense through Pierce with his impressive passing and feel for the game. I’ll be curious to see how much he gets to play with the ball in his hands at the EYBL level. Another prospect I have a small feel for what he can do but excited to continue to watch him develop.
Gadson has gone back and forth from Ohio and he ended up playing the end of his Junior season with Akron Firestone. In the short time that he was at Firestone he had some big time scoring outbursts against tough competition and had a couple monster slam dunks. A high-flying shooting guard, Gadson has a ton of athleticism and natural talent. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to see Gadson play but I’m hoping to do so very soon.
Kuany is the final ISA prospect added to our 2024 rankings in this update as the 6’9 big man has lots of athleticism and long term potential. He’s another guy I’ll get to watch this spring alongside Williams as the pair will be together with Indy Heat. When I last saw Kuany in January I thought he was pretty raw offensively with some physical tools to work with down the line. After a few months, I’m intrigued to see the development he’s made since my last in person scouting opportunity for Kuany.
One of the most talented players in southeast Ohio, Lovely won conference and district player of the year as a Junior. My first time watching him was in the playoffs where he scored almost 40 points in a district title victory. I then watched him at Midwest Basketball Club’s showcase where he continued to show his natural talent with the ball in his hands and ability to create for himself. The biggest thing for Lovely to show this spring and summer will be consistency. If Lovely can remain consistent with his effort on both ends and make plays for others, he should attract plenty of scholarship interest.
