Dallas Showtyme’s long athletic prospect, Jaylin Hancock Jaylin Hancock 6’3″ | SG Dallas Kimball | 2026 TX , showcased tons of upside and potential at the wing-forward position. This standout was at his best on the perimeter where he could put the ball on the floor and create his own shot by getting into his bag of combo dribbles. Hancock showed the ability to shoot over opposing wings needing just the slightest bit of space to drill contested jumpers due to his release point and textbook shooting form which stayed consistent the further out he shot it. Jaylin’s floor spacing and movements allowed the offense to run fluidly and opened up the mid-range as well as the post for easy shot opportunities for everyone.
Jacques Mitchell
Jacques Mitchell
Not only has Joc Mitchell made a name for himself and proving to be one of the best offensive weapons on the NEXT circuit but he’s already begun to do the same while playing up on the high school circuit. This past weekend, his court vision and ball-handling skills were top-notch, Mitchell toyed with defense and kept them guessing with his pace control. Joc’s special ability to constantly stop and start on a dime led him right into the paint or to his spot every single time, he was able to get a bucket whenever he wanted and when his team needed one the most. As a facilitator, no pass was off limits for him, if a teammate was in the right spot the ball found their hands. On the defensive end, Mitchell was sneaky quick and explosion when beating his man to their next spot often forcing them to pick up their dribble. Excellent at baiting ball-handlers into tough situations, long passes, and rushed shots. There was a lot to like about this kid’s all-around skill set, he did just about everything, and didn’t show many limitations to his game.
Throughout the weekend, Quincy Shelton Quincy Shelton 6’0″ | PG Hugo | 2026 State OK stood out as a true team leader and floor general who stayed locked into the action no matter what was transpiring on the floor. Shelton was the type of player that brought an infectious energy to the entire game as he played with a passion and love for the competitive aspect of the game. He crashed the boards, set teammates up, locked down on defense and forced turnovers, and put up points from all three levels of the floor. As the top shot creator in the division, Shelton played with confidence, make or miss, while proving to be unguardable in isolation partly due to his shifty, crafty, unpluckable handle. The freshman guard also showed off his polished footwork while penetrating the lane, particularly with his knack for decelerating the moment he felt contact allowing him to maintain his balance and finish off one or two feet inside of the lane. But for someone who was such a good scorer, he still managed to keep his teammates involved and make them apart of the action. Quincy Shelton Quincy Shelton 6’0″ | PG Hugo | 2026 State OK did it all, he carried the load, put his team on his back, made everyone around him better, and kept them competitive game after game.
Masyn Wright
Masyn Wright
Masyn Wright played with a high motor, intensity, and a great feel for the game while finding multiple ways to impact things on the court. Wright consistently made the right play, took smart shots, made the correct reads, and he did it all without trying to force things or over dribble. Wright’s remarkable athleticism matched up perfectly with his strong build and assisted him tremendously while driving down hill and scoring underneath the rim. His jump shooting out of the high post was impressive as well both off the pass and off the pull-up. Relentless rebounder on each side of the court, on one end Wright created second chance shot opportunities and on the other he limited them.
Keon Young
Keon Young
Another prospect playing up and making his presence felt was Oklahoma native Keon Young, a intelligent, highly versatile, ballplayer who showed creativity when playmaking for his teammates. Young excels simply by playing with poise, allowing the game to come to him, and taking advantage of whatever the defense gave him. Young has the wherewithal to create separation on the perimeter to get his own shot using jab steps and ball fakes to make a defender shift. Constant transition and fast break scoring threat from start to finish, Keon’s coast to coast quickness was unstoppable, this kid was quite often the first up the court with or without the ball. Strong downhill attacker with the power, strength, strides, and the body control to finish through all sorts of traffics, bumps, and fouls. On defensive side of the ball, Keon Young played with a ball hawk mentality as he blew through the passing lanes with his active hands, intercepted cross court throws, and deflected passes to cutters.
