<p>The Prep Hoops Circuit got underway this weekend all across the country and the PH Grind Region Kickoff took place in the Oklahoma City area. Prep Hoops had wall to wall coverage of the event and we'll continue to crank out player spotlight articles over the next several days. But in this post, it's all about [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last='']'s 17U team as they were one of the more balanced teams in the tournament field. [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] grabbed headlines around this time last year as one of the best independent teams in Oklahoma and they are back at it again this year with a roster full of players that could shine as individuals but they've all bought in to succeeding together. This weekend, [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last='']'s only loss during the tournament was a triple overtime loss to Oklahoma PrimeTime. Below, we break down some of the guys that stood out for [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] this weekend. These are just some of the top names from this team that is incredibly balanced. </p>

First, he helped lead Riverfield to their first ever state tournament appearance as a sophomore and then he had a very strong offseason while playing on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Clinton was back at it again this weekend and we saw new elements of his game really standout throughout the tournament. At this time last year, Clinton was more of a shooter and was a guard that definitely would look to score first. This weekend, Clinton seemed to be at his best when he was facilitating and getting others involved. Granted, he has some very talented players around him but he did a really good job of controlling the flow on the offensive end of the floor. And his scoring hasn't gone anywhere. He can still fill it up but it was good to see that his game is continuing to evolve and he's becoming more of a point guard moving forward.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1482837"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"The word u0022balanceu0022 is one that is always going to come up when you talk about [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last='']. Picking one player as the star is incredibly tough but we're going to do it anyway. 2024 forward [player_tooltip player_id='1482837' first='David' last='Wilson'] felt like the most impactful player on the floor for [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] throughout the weekend. Wilson can jump out of the gym and that athleticism and size was felt on both ends of the floor. Wilson was a rim protector and was cleaning up the glass on the defensive end of the floor. Then he would turn around and bring the rim down on offense. And Wilson's motor was another thing that really impressed and when you combine all of those attributes, you have a player that would not only make u0022flashyu0022 plays but you had a guy that was going to do whatever he could to help his team win. Wilson was incredibly impressive on both days this weekend and we're looking forward to seeing more of him moving forward this offseason.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1367223"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Another forward prospect that has a lot of the same attributes as Wilson was Choctaw 2024 forward [player_tooltip player_id='1367223' first='Isaiah' last='Taylor'] throughout the weekend. Taylor was a menace in the paint for [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] and when he and Wilson were on the floor at the same time, opponents had some serious problems near the basket. But Taylor was as close to automatic as it gets on the offensive end of the floor when he got in the paint. Taylor plays like a bull on the offensive end of the floor but he's also in control and doesn't just lose the ball like so many other prospects that are similar to him. Taylor looks like a football player playing basketball but Taylor had a really good junior season and he's continued that momentum into the offseason. Taylor fits right in to what [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] wants to do and should have a lot of success this offseason. He's a player that can have an impact on the game without the ball and is lights out on the defensive end of the floor.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1807984"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Carl Albert 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1807984' first='Ryan' last='Reynolds'] was one of the breakout stars from this past high school season as the Titans made it all the way to the Class 5A state championship game. Reynolds established himself as one of the top shooters in the state and he showcased that skillset throughout their playoff run and specifically in the state tournament. He picked up where he left off in March this weekend when he was shooting the lights out of the gym this weekend. Reynolds is another fantastic complimentary piece to what [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] wants to do on the offensive end of the floor. At any moment and with any lineup, [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] can go on runs and they showed that when Reynolds was on the court. he's a spot up shooter that does not take long at all to start heating up. And when he starts making one or two shots, it's very difficult to stop that momentum from continuing as [program_tooltip program_id='2078432' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076441' first='Rogue' last='']' last=''] went on plenty of runs throughout the tournament this weekend.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-642da7572f4ee"} /-->

<p>Both [player_tooltip player_id='1493578' first='Garrett' last='Scott'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1807979' first='Nate' last='Reherman'] shined on the defensive end of the floor. I've been on high on Scott for a while as a good on-ball defender and he continues to become a more consistent scorer on offense. And then Reherman was an absolute beast in the paint on the defensive end of the floor. Both players earned their way on this breakdown for what they did on defense. But they also showed moments on offense where they started heating up. But just like with every player on this team, each guy could go off in any given game but they've all bought in to dominating collectively. </p>
