The senior had been a steady interior presence for the Eagles for the first two days of the tournament. When Hale decided to play off of him to start the contest, he made them play with a pair of early triples. He would go on to score 17 points on only 9 shots for the day, including another three in the second half.
Along with his versatile offensive exploits, he was a key part of the Weatherford defense that suffocated Hale and one of the top scorers in the state. While the Eagles played their trademark zone for much of the contest, there were occasions they went man and Reherman matched up with Lewis, a smaller, quicker guard. But he did not look out of place chasing him around screens or covering him in isolation. It was impressive the agility and defensive principles of moving his feet and defensive awareness.

Narrowing down another addition from Weatherford is difficult, as they’re one of the more balanced teams in the state. In this case the senior Reherman edged out a pair of talented junior brothers. The senior forward helps patrol the paint, with great instincts as a rebounder and shot blocker. In fact it was Reherman’s rejection last February that helped Weatherford finally take down conference rival Kingfisher. Expect him to continue to change games around the rim as the Eagles attempt to soar back to Oklahoma City with unfinished business.

impressed our staff earlier this month and is part of a Weatherford lineup that has length and a lot of versatility to their games. But for Reherman in particular, he does almost all of his damage in the paint. He can finish at the rim and he is a rebounding machine. Earlier this month, Reherman had the game-clinching block as the Eagles upset Kingfisher in overtime, snapping their lengthy home-winning streak. Reherman has some bounce to his step and get up when he needs to. And as we’ve noted with him in particular in an earlier article, as he continues to develop his game outside the paint, he’s certainly going to be a more intriguing forward prospect to watch moving forward. But for now, we anticipate him dominating the paint as Weatherford looks to contend for the state championship. Not only this year, but for the next several years.
