Continue ReadingI’m more used to watching Cade play off the ball or running the wing. He played more pure PG this weekend, using his frame, to bully defenders en route to attacking downhill. I was impressed with his vision, as he showed the ability to distribute to teammates, delivering several accurate passes off the bounce in the game I watched.
Stroughter showed why he’s one of the top players in his class. The PG did a good job of attacking, getting more than his share of paint touches, making the right read everytime. His combination of size, and R&J ability fits perfectly in today’s game and is similar to a lot of high level PG’s.
Kaiden Bailey
Kaiden Bailey
Bailey was one of the most impressive players at the event. The PG was elite in a few skills, including his shot making. His ability to create off the bounce gave him just enough space to get his shot off over closing defenders both in mid range and behind the arc. He’s a dynamic scorer who put up 42 in his first game of the event.
Speed may be the most exciting player in 4A next season. He’s a competitive PG, who once again impacted games on both ends of the floor. The tempo changing PG puts pressure on defenses with his ability to get to the rim, he hounds opposing ballhandlers and isn’t too good to get dirty. He showed good defensive IQ, rotating over to take charges in the game I saw.
Mason Grant
Mason Grant
Grant played some pure PG and combo for TBU. He did a lot of his damage in the half court, orchestrating the offense for the team. He is a solid ballhandler, that doubled as a floor spacer, knocking down a few threes in catch and shoot action.
Moses wasn’t as impressive as the prior weekend, however he still flashed glimpses of skill. Thought he handled well against pressure looking more and more like a Veteran PG. Look for competition Like this to sharpen him as he moves into his sophomore season.
