Speed is part of a Chargers squad, that’s had a ton of contributions from underclassmen. The lighting fast PG has used his speed to the tune of 9 points per game, while adding to his playmaking and distributing skills.

The aptly named Speed is one of the fastest players with the ball in his hands. He’s also a blur without it. The PG is a good on ball defender that uses his foot speed and lateral quickness to force turnovers. His ability to be a productive tempo changer is what has him as one of the top PG’s in the class.

35↑18 I have become enamored with his mental toughness. The lighting fast PG brings it every single time he steps on the floor.

Speed has become one of the most exciting players in the state. Love competitive, two way guards, and all of those traits describe him. You can find him suiting up with a talented Program squad, that allows him to play to his strengths.

Speed seems to produce everytime I see him play. He showed during the Desert Reign League that he can impact games on both sides of the ball, using his quickness on the defensive end to be an on ball stopper, and his footspeed on the offensive end to be a tempo changing, jitterbug, paint touching PG.

Two things have recently stood out to me watching Speed play this Spring. The first is that Clark is a legit 4A title contender. The second is that Speed may be the perfect tempo changing guard for the team. He’s virtually impossible to keep out of the paint and as improbable as it sounds, he’s improved his already highly graded speed and quickness skill.

Speed may be the most exciting player in 4A next season. He’s a competitive PG, who once again impacted games on both ends of the floor. The tempo changing PG puts pressure on defenses with his ability to get to the rim, he hounds opposing ballhandlers and isn’t too good to get dirty. He showed good defensive IQ, rotating over to take charges in the game I saw.

Speed does not pass the eye test that is until you watch him play. He’s a blur with the ball who has the ability to blow by defenders however he dictates pace the pace of games. I love how he changes speeds, going coast to coast on one possession, then orchestrating the offense on the next. A pesky defender he got his hands on a ton of balls creating back tips and deflections.

Speed and Moses played together for the Program which went on to win the 17U championship. It’s easy to make a joke about how his play equals his last name, but it’s true. He’s was one of the fastest players from end to end, completing several transition plays with layups. Look for him to make a move North when the next rankings are released.
