He'll take and make the long-ball, is relentless when attacking the basket, and I really like the intensity he brings as an on-ball defender. He is always looking to poke the ball loose and loves to make it hard on opposing ball-handlers. I liked his ball security; as a big-man facing a trapping press, he often found himself flashing to the middle and catching passes to help his guards break the full-court pressure. Once in that position, he did a good job of keeping the ball up high and his head on a swivel, typically resulting in smart decisions. He uses his body to help him find success as a scorer, screener, rebounder, and low-post defender. He's athletic too; I saw him throw down a nasty alley-oop slam on Saturday. With his back-to-the-basket, he shows good footwork and touch. He can use both hands and does a really nice job of powering through contact as he finishes around the rim. Hermsdorf is a solid defender and will block/alter many shots. He can go both ways, finish with both hands, and does a really good job of staying patient and making the right play on his drives. He's a good rebounder for his size as he uses elite athleticism to impact the glass on both offense and defense. Every single player was involved as the ball zipped around the perimeter, passing up good shots for great ones. As the man in the middle for his team, Meyer is a versatile player; he extends his game to the 3-point line as he can confidently bury them from distance, he shows good patience in the paint, he's an active and smart rebounder which often results in second chances for his team, and he can guard multiple positions. He's got a great frame and with those long arms, he's able to shoot and pass over the top of the defense, making him a real perimeter threat. Using long strides he'll take you to the basket where he scores with soft touch. Defensively, he has excellent awareness. His rotations are great and because of this, he's always in the right position allowing him to be a stellar help-defender. Then, using that length, he has wonderful wall-ups and blocks many shots.
