First Team:
Riley Johnson Riley Johnson 6'4" | SG Chanhassen | 2025 State MN — SG — Northstar Titans
At Madness In The Midwest, Johnson proved himself as one of the best shooters in Minnesota’s 2025 class. Helping lead his team to a 4-0 record, the shooting guard was excellent. When Johnson is on the floor, opposing defenders must pay close attention to him. If they don’t, he will make them pay. The SG has a quick release from deep and is always searching for a shot. Johnson is much more than just a shooter, though. He is a well-rounded, versatile prospect.
Walker Braaten Walker Braaten 6'4" | CG Westhope/Newburg | 2025 State #278 Nation ND — CG — North Dakota Phenom
It is not hard to see why Braaten is regarded as one of the best players in North Dakota. Playing for an outstanding North Dakota Phenom team, Braaten had an excellent weekend. You won’t see many prospects more impactful than Braaten is. The combo guard really does it all. He is a versatile scorer, impressive defender, talented passer, and above-average rebounder. If you are looking for weaknesses in Braaten’s game, you will be disappointed. Braaten no doubt was one of the top prospects playing in Appleton.
Luke Loehlein — PG — Minnesota Heat
Loehlein really impressed in Appleton this past weekend. The Minnesota Heat point guard is a slick passer and talented scorer. Helping lead his team to a productive weekend, Loehlein was great. On offense, Loehlein plays with a high-IQ. He always seems to make the right basketball play. College programs should certainly take a look at Loehlein. He is a skilled player in more ways than one.
Tavian Crawford Tavian Crawford 6'2" | CG Sun Prairie West | 2025 State WI — G — United Hoops
When Crawford is in attack mode, there aren’t many defenders that can slow him down. The guard is an athletic slasher who can make impressive plays when attacking the rim. He isn’t afraid of contact at the rim, either. Crawford has no problem finishing through heavy contact when attacking the cup. Crawford is also able to heat up very quickly. When the United Hoops guard catches fire, he can score in bunches.
JJ Semanko JJ Semanko 6'4" | SF Hopkins | 2025 State MN — SF — Minnesota Lockdown
Semanko was no doubt one of my favorite prospects to watch this past weekend. The Minnesota Lockdown small forward was simply unguardable. Using his 6-foot-4 frame, Semanko was able to slash into the paint and score with ease. He also showed an ability to convert on long-range shots with ease. I really like what Semanko brings on both ends of the floor. He certainly has a future at the college level.
